It's finally that time: Julio Torres has come back on the podcast. For the 4th time? You tell us! They unfold a world of Disney, fitness classes instructors subtweeting you to your face, dinner party etiquette (do not invite Julio!), the unpretentiousness of OMG Fashun, and how to use the bathroom at Animal. The sisters also take time to re-name Matt while also taking time to acknowledging that seeing a film at Sundance is a mess. It's an important episode because Julio is BACK (for the 3rd time??? Hard to say!) And of course, three engaging IDTSH's! Get into it! A Dad should be a positive role model who shows us the value of hard work. Dads are supposed to teach us the difference between right and wrong. But that’s not the story we’re telling here. This is the story of Gary Vider, a successful stand-up comedian, who grew up with a Dad unlike any other. Manny Vider was a con man, whose schemes spanned over 4 decades. It’s been 23 years since Gary has seen his father and he doesn’t have a clue what he’s up to these days. But Gary is ready to open Pandora’s Box and take listeners on a deeply personal and comedic journey to uncover the outrageous truth about his Dad before he attempts to meet him face to face. Angels, if you're listening? Charli XCX says get chaotic! Her penetrative new album BRAT is out June 7th, and Charli is in studio with Matt & Bowen to chat about Charli's preferred Housewives franchise (Salt Lake City), being a person who tells it like it is, confronting the Having Babies of it all, the Charli-Caroline Polachek-Christine & The Queens SNL performance that never was and Lana Del Rey as an art figure. All this, synesthesia, the London rave scene and party culture, clubbing with parents, performing on the Coachella stage, the upcoming SWEAT tour with Troye Sivan, graphic tee culture, Bowen Yang's thoughts on pubic hair texture, superiority towards reality TV, and Dr. Orna Guralnik. Also, a Noah Galvin cameo, the Presidential Fitness Test, being a consistent patron of the arts, and insight into the upcoming film WICK'T (sp?) from those on the inside. Broadway. You don't get bigger than THAT. And today's Las Cultch guest, gleaming diamond of the culture Cole Escola, is headed there, honey. "Oh, Mary!" is the show AND the moment, and Matt & Bowen welcome its star and playwright to discuss reasons for dick appointment cancellation, how it might actually be the time for our civilization to end, and whether or not 45 deserves a turn to *dazzle* on Broadway. All this, Cole's refusal to discuss the Met Gala, the time Bow and Cole saw a Dutch production of Les Miz, new Nicholas Galitzine theories, the best bathroom cruising and birding locations, and the question of whether or not our assholes are the same color as our lips. Also, dream casting for the future of Oh, Mary!, pills, how to battle giardia when it hits your household, theme party etiquette, a lot of tension and a ton of other fucking nonsense. You wanted Cole?! Well, they're here, queer and USED to it (hearing how much Matt and Bowen love them). You know the old wives tale! The summer gets to start two months early because DUA LIPA is on Las Culturistas! The one and only talks to Matt & Bowen about creating the new album Radical Optimism, headlining Glastonbury, getting that google cal together, doing double duty on SNL, and having the best god damn taste. Also, the time Katy Perry pulled a 15 year old Dua on stage to dance to "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", saying YES to the deluxe edition, the experience of becoming blonde, and the drag queens lipsyncing Dua's songs on RuPaul's Drag Race. All this, the crisping drawer, how sometimes people can be like "Vanderpump Rules!" and a response to the critics who say Dua is "always on holiday".See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Because we love-love you all… here’s an extra serving of Las Cultch for you! ‘Cause what were we supposed to do, exactly? Not talk about Challengers? On Friday, May 3rd, the categories for the Las Culturistas Culture Awards are announced. Use May to campaign! The nominees will be announced at the end of the month. A podcast episode that reflects events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time; The Tortured Poets Department is out now. Matt & Bowen bare their souls in discussion. Also, 2013? Yeah. Culturally excavated. This period of the podcasters’ lives are now over, the chapter closed and boarded up… that’s that WE, Espresso!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hello, readers. Let's just say, on this episode? We are going to let it do what it do, YA YA ;) It's a good old fashioned rootin tootin track by track on the frontrunner (already!) for Album of the Year, COWBOY CARTER by Beyoncé. Matt and Bow get into it and discuss all the songs on the album, where Bey has been and where she may be headed next. It's very much a BEYONCÉ ep! All that, and more! Get your tickets *now* to the Las Culturistas Culture Awards at the Kings Theatre on June 15th over at the Kings Theatre website with promo code "CULTCH"! We snappin'.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Fashion! Politics! Entertainment! This episode of LC kind of has all those things! What it definitely has is best in the biz guest Nicole Byer! Nicole and the boys get into how we'd do the pandemic differently, escape room techniques, how all male flight attendants are gay, reveal the REAL MCU, and anticipate Cowboy Carter just days before its release. Also, what it feels like to fly in a film, selling the joke, Goodfellas, Oda Mae Brown culture, Christian Siriano, Jenifer Lewis's recent accident and recovery, how Madame Web was maybe good, how Fed Ex can kinda suck and the battle between water based and silicon based personal lubricant. All this, and Nicole demands Matt give her the information of a bad, harmful psychic that made him distrust Bowen Yang. Go see The American Society of Magical Negroes in the CINEMA! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The time has come. The sisters have been teasing this episode for weeks and we will finally get the answer to the most pressing question that has ever been posited on this podcast: was that really Mandy Moore's Xanga? Scoot to the edge of your seats, readers. She has arrived.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Precisely Matt! You articulated exactly how I feel about the movie. It was a bunch of ill selected glimpses into their lives that were strung together to make this movie (Maestro).Completely left me just as I came into the movie; not knowing anything meaningful about either character! And if indeed it was a love story and not a biopic, then why name it Maestro? I thought I was going to see a whole other movie than what was presented. I wanted to like it. Unfortunately, it left me hanging.WAI,yes!

Why is it that if you can camp it up, you can be a celebrity in spite of having no talent?

So I listen a lot and I hear the declarations you make based on your best guesses and shrug. It’s okay. Now you’ve made me have to go Boomer on you. It’s widely known that “Imagine” was not written in California but at Tittenhurst Park in England. Many films show it all happening. As for the dismissal of “Imagine there’s no heaven” as the murmurings of an LSD trip, NO. In 1971 it’s almost a miracle that got airplay. It was sacrilege. Some respect is in order.

I keep coming back to this podcast. It is hard to follow, though. Talks to fast, not clear, over talk, sounds alike. Steps on names. Who is that laughing like a dolphin?
