The host of Black Man With a Gun Show, Rev. Kenn Blanchard restarts his leading podcast by popular demand.  This introduction to what he has planned as well as candid, and honest talk about what’s going on. He shares some of the changes he is making, Covid-19, politics in Washington DC, the NRA, history, BLM, racial injustice, gun rights, rise of Black Gunowners, and more.  You don’t have to agree.  We can fix this.     On John Wayne,  On Racism: Racism is as much about impact as it is about intention. We shouldn’t forget about those who are on the receiving end of discrimination. How the sausage is being made called Freedom. On the movement On the rise of Black Gun Ownership    The time has come for us to stop revering and instead reckon with the complex interweaving of heroism and evil in history. This has become a world wide movement.  We are all being affected.  We are grieving the loss of the past - the good old days or the possibility that the loss of life could be one of us.     Support me - blackmanwithagun.com    http://patreon.com/blackmanwithagun      Become a Patron!     #ShootingforPeace #revkennblanchardsr #kennblanchard
I was listening to a conversation between two men, (younger than myself that were) saying how boring shotguns were. I decided not to interrupt. Instead I engaged Michael J. Woodland about it. Michael J. Woodland wanted us to try something different on this week where we chatted online as we share this conversation about shotguns. I spoke outside Let me know what you think of our dialogue. If you were involved in a self defense shooting and had the choice between a rifle and a shotgun, would the court penalize you for using the AR-15 over the shotgun? What do you think. This week I want to honor a friend and announce a move. Congratulations to Rick Ector on his recent appointment to the NRA Board of Directors.  I personally know how much this means to him and know he will do the best he can as a representative of firearms trainers, counselors, and gun rights activist.  The guy has been focused and determined to save the lives of people in his home state of Michigan, especially the cities and women. He has single handedly created a space for women of color to get exposed and familiar with firearms in an untraditional environment.  As a gun rights activist, Rick is a force of nature. He could become a politician if he weren't so nice, respectable, and honest.  He often credits me for getting him involved but Rick didn't need me, I just fed the spark he had and it turned into a blaze. He is proof that determination, and positive thinking can do great things.  Having a positive attitude means you have an optimistic outlook. That guy has taken the Second Amendment and the gun rights community to the level it should be.  He has optimism.  He has hope. He believes that if he keeps chugging on things will work out well.  Being voted on the board of director for the National Rifle Association is a bigger deal to Rick that the rich and famous peers with him. I am proud to call him a friend. Like he says, "True Story."       Check out the first episode of NWhy You Should Never Fry Bacon Naked: And other life lessons!; and subscribe at http://sites.libsyn.com/471231/black-man-with-a-gun   thank you.  Kenn
Social suicide and the Second Amendment Gun Rights Activist Wanted Time for a change. New podcast coming called Doable!   The BMWAG is looking for experienced gun rights activists to join our team in advocating for the rights of gun owners.   We are looking for an individual with experience in grassroots campaigns, political organizing, and public outreach. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to expand our membership base and increase public awareness of our mission.   The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of the history and current debates surrounding gun rights, extensive experience in creating and managing successful advocacy campaigns, and excellent communication and public speaking skills.   The successful applicant will be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work independently to achieve our organization’s goals. They will be expected to travel frequently and represent our organization at public events.   If you have a passion for gun rights and a track record of successful advocacy, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience.     The perfect candidate, is self motivated and financially sound.  you have to operate as a non profit though you won’t get money by doing it that way.  Must be able to debate an emotionally charged subject reasonably and calmly no matter what.  You must be an ambassador, diplomacy a must.  You represent the cause and not yourself.         Https://crossbreedholsters.com    Https://blanchardnetwork.com
Conversation with a Comedian   As I contemplated my life this week, I ran into a comedian named Clay Miles.  Although our conversation had nothing to do with guns and the Second Amendment it was good.  I wanted to learn about him and comedy. I needed to laugh. Maybe you do too.  I am pondering and thinking about what direction to take this show.  I took a moment to record and share it with you.  I have a few questions for you too.  Help me out. blackmanwithagun@gmail.com Blanchardnetwork.com   guitarcare.co Fretcon.org speaklifepodcast.com    Claymiles  Shalom Baby,   Kenn

Sharing some commentary and seeking your thoughts on what I said.  Sharing what it takes to get started as a gun owner in Maryland and giving kudos to the Virginia Citizens Defense League, VCDL.org for leading as a gun rights organization. https://vcdl.org/mpage/VCDLLegUpd012723 The state of Maryland isn’t quite up to the level of New York or California when it comes to gun control, but it ain’t for lack of trying. Maryland has tons of gun control laws on the books, and none of them have made Baltimore any safer, but that won’t stop them from doing more. https://mdsp.maryland.gov/Organization/Pages/CriminalInvestigationBureau/LicensingDivision/Firearms/HandgunQualificationLicense.aspx Thanks for sharing,   Shalom Baby, Rev. Gun ownership requires responsibility.  There is more mental energy required than just owning a gun and shooting it recreationally. (that is what I mean by Shooting is Mental) Training will save you money and save your life.  Seek some before you buy and you’ll thank me. Firearm ownership is not for everyone but it should be for anyone who has not given up his or her right to do so. Buying a firearm should be an educated decision not an emotional one. Shooting is mental because you have to navigate fact from fiction, and hype from reality. You have to make some judgement calls. You have to train your brain not to do what you have seen on TV or on social media.  You have to make decisions that are literally life or death.  Am I prepared to defend myself? Am I ready to go through with what is coming after I stop a bad guy?  Can I handle the political foolishness?  Have I been on the right side of this thing?  Who do I believe now?  Where do I get training from?  Who is legit and not a mall ninja?   Shooting is mental.   These days everybody is an expert.  Who do you trust to teach your family?  Are you going to become a competitor?  Going to start a club?  Going to join one?     Then there is the racism, sexism, separatism that is HUGE in this community. Us vs them.  If you aren’t careful you’ll get sucked up in the foolishness.  Yeah I said it.  Foolishness, it’s one of the reasons after 30 years of gun rights activism you don’t see me at conventions and events.   Below are a list you will probably see each time you go to a public range, learn them. A more in depth reason for them will follow.   1.            Treat all guns as if they were loaded.  2.            Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. 3.            Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.  4.            Be sure of your target and what's beyond it. 5.            Always wear eye and ear protection when shooting. 6.            Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before shooting. 7.            Don't alter or modify your gun, and have guns serviced regularly. 8.            If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. 9.            Use correct ammunition. 10.            Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the firearm before you use it.   Thank you for your prayers and financial support. This week I want to introduce to some and remind others about situation awareness.  The threats have been increasing among many groups.  You are probably in one of them.  Don't think being pro-gun is a talisman against getting popped in the head by a group of teens.  Are you paying attention? Your Mind is Your Primary Weapon. Col Jeff Coopers Color Code "Are you a fat body?" - Losing weight and getting in shape for your next fight. Give back by supporting the podcast and your brother at https://patreon.com/blackmanwithagun   Let me know what you thought of this episode.   Check out my friends at:  Https://crossbreedholsters.com    Situational awareness literally means to be constantly aware of your situation. Now in terms of security, it means to be constantly aware of your security situation and identifying potential threats and dangerous scenarios. This sounds a bit stressing to be aware of risks and danger all the time, specially if you live in a high risk level neighborhood or city. So we want to focus on how to achieve this awareness in a relaxed way. Situational awareness is more a state of mind than a learned skill. This is important not only for security agents and corporations, but also and most important for individuals to learn how to identify criminal behavior and other dangerous threats around them so they can react accurately and defend themselves and others. Cooper Color Code  (4 Levels of Situational Awareness) Condition White: total unawareness. The news is full of these oblivious victims. Condition Yellow: a relaxed awareness, the optimal everyday state of being. Condition Orange: a specific alert has triggered your full attention. If you haven’t done it yet, thinking through your plan of defense or getaway happens here. Condition Red: ready to defend your life.

Fascism is the sister of Socialism, and improperly labeled Right wing. The idea was created by Giovanni Gentile, a Socialist Professor, to be an improvement on Socialism, this is why it has a lot of the same tenants

Actually, the majority of black people left the Republican party during the Great Depression. Franklin Roosevelt was taking money from red states and giving it to blue states. Everyone regardless of color started voting blue. Also, when you point out the Republicans fighting white supremacy, it would be fair to mention those white supremacist's where Democrat.

The Urban Shooter podcast is an oasis of information for anyone who hungers for knowledge and wisdom as it relates to our 2nd amendment right. Kenn Blanchard’s discussions on topics from the 2nd amendment, guns, self defense, and common sense, is right on target and every Chicago resident needs to hear what Kenn has to say, especially in light of our growing crime and murder rates which is up 12% in 2008. Now Chicago has the strictest gun ban in the nation, since the Supreme Court overturned Washington DC’s gun ban, however, gun deaths and violence continues to increase. We need a new perspective to our crime issue and Kenn is providing a most valuable service to our community to that end. I look forward to the day when Chicago’s gun ban is finally overturned and until then, Chicago needs Urban Shooter and Kenn Blanchard on the side of law abiding citizens. Keep up the great work and keep those podcasts coming Kenn! Salutations from the Windy City!
