Emo Prom Night

High school can be tough… especially when you’re trying to launch an Emo band in Toledo, Ohio in 2005. Meet Dallas, Cos, and Tyson, the female drummer. They are three best friends who make up the Emo band YourThoughts, My Memories. They struggle to get through each day - fraught with emotions, sensitivity, flat-ironed hair,black skinny jeans, and dreams of fame. Their daily routines consist of trying to gain MySpace followers, arguingabout Emo bands, and avoiding the temptations of booze, sex, and drugs. After all “Straight Edge is the GreatEdge. “ The jocks make fun of them, the popular kids won’t give them the time of day and their original music offersthem the only escape from the mundane Midwest mentalities that they are surrounded by. Oh, and they’ve made acelibacy and sobriety pact until graduation. However, when Dallas and Tyson discover that Cos is secretly dating a popular cheerleader and plans on going totheir senior prom, they begin to wonder if their union is slowly falling apart… Especially with a huge Battle of theBands showcase taking place that same night that they can’t afford to miss… This is the prom story that Gen Y has been waiting for. It’s Superbad - but turned upside down.

The band Your Thoughts My Memories undergoes an emotional trial when Cos breaks the emo code. How could Cos betray their carefully cultivated image of melancholy? How will the band recover?  

Dallas and Tyson find out that there is a Battle of the Bands in Cleveland. If Cos and Tiffany go to Prom, their chances of becoming the biggest band in the world go out of the window faster than a depressed emo kind on Zoloft. Things are getting angsty. 

In this episode, the band is in a frenzy preparing for the upcoming Battle of the Bands at Emo Fest in Cleveland, just days away. Cos is struggling with a recent breakup that's left him emotionally shattered. Will Cos overcome his heartache and reunite with the band in time for Emo Fest? Can they put on the show of their lives and win the Battle of the Bands?
