Unsubbed because of disappointing takes on the labor movement by Scott as UAW and SAG strikes were building (+ his love of rightw "centrist" Bill Maher). Came back as was curious what their takes on the US' ONGOING funding of genocide of Palestine via Israeli "self-defense" was. Expectedly disappointing. Rather than educate themselves on Israeli historical whitewashing of settler violence against Palestinians for decades, they took the lazy out.😞 Out of touch liberal elite is a sad stereotype.

I thoroughly enjoyed the latest episode of "Pivot." Kara and Scott, your deep dive into the current tech and business landscape is always insightful and thought-provoking. In this episode, your analysis of the evolving role of big tech companies in society, especially in the context of privacy, regulation, and ethical considerations, was exceptionally well-articulated. Your discussion on the recent government actions and how they might impact these companies was particularly engaging. https://www.smartmoneymatch.com/Kraft%20Paper%20Printer Furthermore, I appreciated your take on emerging trends and their potential implications. The exploration of the metaverse, the challenges posed by AI and automation, and the changing dynamics of remote work were all topics that resonated with me. https://www.startus.cc/company/kraft-paper-printer

Had to pause at 23:30 to rant. You don't think attacking corporations messages well in our current economic climate? When both income disparity and corporate profits are at record highs? And companies have the power of nation states but none of the incentives to help everyday people? Is that why Bernie was the more popular candidate when the DNC stole his 2016 nomination and gave it to sociopathic smiling puppet (who I can only imagine you would have loved) that then proceeded to lose to a more honest sociopath demogoging as a populist? Because Bernie's policies were unpopular? I can see how anyone may be a tad myopic given that worldview is always somewhat predetermined by SES, but how much of your own colon have you inhaled at this point? This is is such MSNBC centrist bootstrapping horseshit. Wake the fuck up dude. 2001 is over. Rampant capitalism had its shot. And Biden didn't bring everyone together. Not once did you underscore a federally mandated minimum wage increase as a solut

It's fascinating to see how businesses and individuals alike often find themselves at a crossroads where they need to pivot. A pivot can be both a challenging and an exciting prospect. It requires careful consideration, a deep understanding of the current situation, and a willingness to adapt to new circumstances. https://trueen.com/business/listing/prime-butcher-wrap/341030 When a company pivots, it's essentially a testament to its resilience and willingness to evolve. It's not about giving up on the original vision, but rather about acknowledging the need for change in order to stay relevant and meet the evolving needs of the market. https://www.merchantcircle.com/prime-butcher-wrap-chicago-il

College changed my life when I was a single parent. No monumental greatness but from a non living wages to now as a woman in my family I own a house and I never have to worry about food or gas. I work for the state and 10,000 of my loans were discharged at age 59. i never complained about those loans once. My son has a masters and paid off his loans before he had children. Good government did that! I add value to my country because my country valued me. I am very fortunate.

CNN *hard* left? 🤣 Are you even alive boss? I guess it's a foregone conclusion to Scott that to even be on the US political spectrum you have to be hardcore capitalist. The centre between fascistic antidemocracy and anti-tax anti-worker "social" progressives is not "the left". It is indeed facism light which is what we see in America today. This is why "centrist" news is dying and the appetite for actual european style socialist policies is satisfied by youtube pundits rather than these dying for-profit legacy hacks. Because their business models prevent them from calling a spade a spade. Also being anti Trump doesn't make someone a leftist lol. It just means that more people in America (barely) would like to keep trying to make democracy work and not hand it over to a likely autocrat.

One of the few times Scott seems more awake than Kara. Dickriding Biden as a progressive when he's basically a moderate corporate Republican c 2001 in the midst of a fascist rise is nonsense. Looking at his actions he fought against rail workers while preaching unions, let the child tax credit lapse, ignores the min wage, wants to 'fund the police', funds apartheid in Palestine while backing Israel, and has yet to meet his own promise on student debt. A bit of Bernie Sanders? Gimme a break. The man is a career politician and is so afraid to offend either "side" he'll never be as effective as the moment demands. The bulk of one "side" are literal fascists that threaten every (poor) minority's peaceful existence through legislative persecution. How do you reach out to bipartisan w that? Do not let their clownishness obscure the very real threat and power they weild.
