Tristan Brübach
On March 26th, 1998, thirteen-year-old Tristan Brübach went to school (in the Höchst district of Frankfurt). He had tried to skip class, telling both his father and his teachers that he needed to see a doctor, but he would be in-attendance for most of the school day.Early that afternoon, Tristan would be granted an early release (by school officials) to see a doctor. Using public transportation, Tristan headed to a nearby train station... where - bizarrely - he ended up sitting around for several hours. Classmates would later recall that he might have been waiting for someone.Hours later - in the early evening - the body of Tristan Brübach would be found in a nearby underpass. He had become the victim of a bizarre and savage killer, who has not been identified in the 20+ years since... Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a PatronLearn more about today's sponsor, Zola, by heading to zola.com/unresolved (where you can use the promo code "unresolved" to save $50 on your wedding planning experience)This podcast features a promo for The Nowhere Dispatch, hosted by my friend, Lucas Music CreditsROZKOL - "Hoenikker"Borrtex - "Realization"Rest You Sleeping Giant - "Sleep"Kai Engel - "Wake Up"Xenojam - "Abduction"Percival Pembroke - "Ammonia"The Pangolins - "Beneath Dark Clouds"Noiseonport - "Spectre"Graham Bole - "Soylent Green"Rotten Bliss - "Lighthouse"Other music written and composed by Ailsa Traves

Sunset Limited Derailment
In the early morning hours of October 9th, 1995, Amtrak's Sunset Limited - which regularly traveled between coasts - slipped off of the tracks in rural Arizona. As investigators began looking into the cause of this wreck, they discovered that this was no accident. A group (or an individual masquerading as a group) had conspired to make this derailment happen, leaving four copies of a rambling & poetic "manifesto" at the crime scene. All four letters were signed with the same moniker: "Sons of the Gestapo" (or, abbreviated, "S.O.G."). Despite an investigation that has spanned more than two decades, looked into extremist groups across North America, and offered up a $310,000 reward, the train's saboteurs have never been identified. Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a PatronThis episode features a promo for my friends Shea and Erin, who host the informative & entertaining podcast All Crime No Cattle Music CreditsOKAM vs ps - "Exploring the Convoluted Singularity"Squire Tuck - "What Will Be Will Be (Organ Remix)"The Gateless Gate - "Approaching Snow Squall"Graham Bole - "Nae Shaam"How the Night Came - "I - HNO3"ROZKOL - "The Fruit Will Rot"Chris Zabriskie - "I Used to Need the Violence"Alan Spiljak - "Forgotten"Forlon - "Roembden Crater"Other original music created and composed by Ailsa Traves

The Wolfs
Between 2004 and 2006, a married couple took the Florida real estate market by storm.Victor and Natalia Wolf, who had immigrated to the U.S. a few years earlier from Russia and Germany, had a plan to reinvigorate the central Florida coast. In particular, they set their sights on a town called Citrus Springs, hoping to build a thriving community.Through a number of companies and subsidiaries, the Wolfs built a company worth tens of millions of dollars. But almost as soon as their ascent began, it came to light that the Wolfs were not who they claimed to be. Over a decade later, their identities - and whereabouts - remain a mystery... Written, hosted, and produced by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast and others, consider heading to patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a PatronLearn more about today's sponsor, Zola, by heading to zola.com/unresolved (where you can use the promo code "unresolved" to save $50 on your wedding planning experience)This episode features a promo for one of my favorite podcasts, Swindled, which focuses on white collar crime and corporate greed Music CreditsROZKOL - "On The Run"Yan Terrien - "BabaBase"How the Night Came - "III - H3P04"Alan Piljak - "Harmony"Sara Afonso - "Underwater - 01"ROZKOL - "Stay Quiet"Kai Engel - "After Midnight"Nctrnm - "Parade"ROZKOL - "Opening Credits"Graham Bole - "Theme For Rosa"Other original music created and composed by Ailsa Traves

The writing is pretty good. Please change the music. It sounds like really awful elevator music.

enjoying this type of podcast. My only critique is that the music goes on way too long. It's distracting to the story in my opinion.

The narrator sounds like a teenager with braces reading his report out loud to his class. It's bloody awful.

Geez, I'm only three episodes in to this podcast and there are glaring editing errors throughout. Poor grammar, repeating words in sentences, and multiple instances of recording loops. I'm not normally critical, but these three episodes are rife with issues!

ALL sexual assaults are power crimes, they are NOT sexually motivated. You should educate yourself about rape culture and reframe that portion of your report...the way it is currently reported is highly offensive to survivors of sexual violence. In addition; there are several instances where you say, "victim" when referring to the perpetrator. Further editing would be of value.

You need to update these episodes with a preface that this case has been resolved...🤓 In April 2018, Joseph James DeAngelo was arrested in connection with the crimes. DeAngelo; a former police officer in Auburn and Exeter, California, was charged with 12 counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances.
