I love the string of lights analogy about PTSD. It really does describe it!
My dad is almost 86 and still lives with untreated PTSD from the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and is of the generation who doesn't believe in seeking treatment for it. He copes by lashing out at those closest to him (children and his companion) and has alienated 2 of his 4 living children and at one time alienated 3 of the 4 of us. It's maddening because he refuses help and we all suffer because of it. I just try to do what he will allow and deal with the aftermath of his anger by shutting down physically and emotionally.
Thank you for doing this! I've saved it so I can listen to it again. Can't wait for the newest episodes of the Carcast!

How exciting! I am happy to see the podcast. My ideas for podcasts are being advocate parents for kids with learning disabilities, understanding not all disabilities are visible and I love the law analysis. My two cents.
