Description

If you are an Arsenal fan, this is a must listen podcast. We talk about the game and what we get up to on the Holloway Road before and after. Hollywood would describe us as a 'rag-tag bunch'. Follow us on twitter @ourlotpod Like our facebook Arsenal - Our Lot in Block 5 Podcast and give us a review

So... Charity Shield then... Yes we have turned up a bit late - but we have turned up before Kai Havertz has, so I call that a victory for Our Lot in Block 5. Stuart welcomes us to his new Sky Glass 65 incher and the Minogue suite (with the hot tub) - while John doesn't think the season has started well at all! He did get to see Siouxsie and the Banshees though this summer - so all is well with the world! Support the show
The season may have felt like it ended in April but we are back for a round up of the best of the season, where we go next. As Buzz Aldrin once said 'Second comes right after first.' The only way is up, for us, Yazz and her Plastic Population (Johns's music choice). See you in July! Have a great summer.Support the show
This week the podcast is interrupted by a protester with a big bag of wotsits - yes John is protesting about our season and sees another Desmond as the end. But can Matthew and Stuart be more positive? Find out on the pod.... Support the show
This week we come back from Anfield with a point and that's more than you can say for most of the last decade. However, some of the refereeing decisions this weekend (especially against Brigton) were shocking and it's not only Andy Robertson who should be getting the elbow!Support the show
The pod title comes from John's tactics for beating City and specifically Phil Foden. We talk Leeds, our upcoming game against the bin dippers and strangely, we all seem to know nothing about Rugby Union in this episode.. funny that.Support the show

Yes, at last some relief in the inter-lull! The boys discuss crashing out 3-3 in Europe, Crystal Palace and we even find out what John thinks a 'zamboni' is!Support the show
There will be no bollocks talked this week and instead just all the action from this weekends Our Lot in Block 5.Support the show
And it was late with 98 minutes on the clock when Reiss Nelson threw his swinger at a cleared corner and we all went totally crazy for the rest of the weekend. We talk about our two wins this week and look forward to Europe, play some Specials and honour a certain Spurs fan who rolled his car this week with a Duke Boys classic. Support the show
I think we manage to talk cautiously about our chances of winning the league, moan about VAR and the media's opinion about us for nearly 30 minutes before John says the first positive point. Remember we are top of the league with a game in hand. This is us, we are back. We are worried. We are excited. We want you to come back into our world and join us talk about the most exciting time, hoping you will get something cathartic from our chat. Nice to be back.Support the show
We are all off to the World Cup so we thought we would give you something to keep the Arsenal spirits up until Boxing Day. We look back to the 2010 World Cup, Vuvuzelas and falling asleep in the pub when we played the USA. Stuart picks his Top Boy this week and there's a nationalities quiz to take us to Qatar. And there isn't one mention on this podcast of Strictly Come Dancing - what were we thinking!Support the show
The boys are back with a bang - and just like Arsenal we are flying high with daylight between us and the rest of the podcasting world (we have all been on holiday!). But the best Arsenal podcast is back and just like the documentary 'All or Nothing', listeners will get a view behind the fourth wall as we discuss the new features - and if you have a preference let us know! Support the show
The boys are back for season review. We choose our favourite games, goals and players of the 2021-22 season. As you can imagine, we don't see eye to eye on everything. John tells about an encounter with El Dorado's Marcus Tandy in the toilets in a North London pub and Stuart starts the end of season party with a bake off in the kitchen!Support the show
Stuart has a cyclone swirling this week as we go from Kylie to Poached Eggs as easily as Oodegard to Saka. During the international break, we go back and look at Liverpool and Villa games and talk lightly poached eggs and heavy metal legends. Support the show
Arsenal showed some class this week in support of our Ukrainian neighbours by naming our double winning full back Oleg Luzhny on the bench and had his shirt hanging in the dressing room. And we showed some class on the field too, with a smart performance against Leicester. Expect the same old crisps and King Henry III references in an episode about Leicester.Support the show
Eyes Right! Quick March! Yes we enjoyed that feeling of going forth into fourth with our very own General Mikel coming up with another cunning plan to leave Watford in no-man's land.  We have a sweet Quickfire John and we invite Stuart back into the boardroom to explain himself on the Apprentice Stute Machine. Support the show
Three games since we last were on air. Three wins. Three points in each. Three idiots talking about it. Yes, three is the magic number this week as we return from our winter break a week late. There's Superbowls, wars and the form of Lacazette to discuss so we couldn't have come back at are more important time.  Support the show
With Arsenal blowing hot against City and now being given the cold shoulder in the cups, John has a hilarious revelation about his drinking habits. Matt proves that you shouldn't host a quiz when you've just got off a plane from the Africa Cup of Nations, and Stuart hits his own hand with a hammer. Support the show
This week we discuss the 11 trees, rooted to the ground that lost at Forest, the Man City VAR controversy, and how John lives up a big hill. Also all the fun of a tree-mendous Quickfire John, Robin Hood Stute Machine and a quiz about the cost of football in 2022.Support the show
Where are all the best years of our podcast? BEHIND YOU! No seriously, we welcome Nick and his Beanstalk, Stuart is Dick and John has put on his stockings and suspenders (and Scotland Shirt) to celebrate Christmas and the milestone of our 150th episode - that's more than an English Ashes innings! Our massive thanks to you all for listening for the 6 years it took us to get there - we love you all. Stay safe this Christmas and enjoy the football!Support the show
We welcome back Nick Rowe for the first time in forever to discuss who should be Arsenal captain, whether 'Sausage Toad' is a real thing and some thought about whether Sheridan Smith might be listening to the pod. The usual fun is all there with a North and South Quickfire John, An ITV Panto Stute Machine and a Captain Quiz. We also get a Wet Leg from Nick.Support the show
