Proverbs 19:18 Chasten your son while there is hope, And do not set your heart on his destruction. Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him. Proverbs 23:13 Do not withhold correction from a child, For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. Proverbs 29:15 and 17 The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul. In this episode we will explore the question, “What is the greatest thing your father taught you?” If we ask you kids that question what would they say?  My hope is that they would say that I taught them to Love God and love others.  But the reality is probably different.  I need to focus on teaching my kids heavenly values with earthly lessons.  Join us this week and teach your children what is really important. Bible Verses Mentioned 3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Matt 22:37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ Romans 13:9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Resources Mentioned and Used All Pro Dad’s – “A successful father will produce a child greater than himself.” – Troy Vincent Mr Holland’s Opus : A teacher has two jobs; fill young minds with knowledge, yes, but more important, give those minds a compass so that that knowledge doesn’t go to waste. – Principal Jacobs
