Argyle Chat returns after a brief break (Stu decided to go on holiday) and just as the 'Three Amigos' get together to record once again, one of the regulars announce they are leaving the Herald/Plymouth Live!We bid an emotional farewell at the end of the show (although he has promised to continue being a podcast guest) but only after discussing all the latest goings on at Home Park. Pre-season is well underway with matches played and plenty of new arrivals at the Theatre of Greens. We discuss those and wonder what areas are left for manager Ryan Lowe to address to complete his squad rebuild. The fixtures are out, not that anyone can watch inside stadiums right now of course, but there is some good news regarding live streaming and iFollow from the EFL. So grab yourself a drink (maybe some tissues as well) and enjoy the latest episode of Argyle Chat! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

With the help of Stuart James and Chris Errington, we talk about the 'good old days' and what it was like playing for Argyle at that time, their careers and what they are up to now football is little more than a distant memory. A huge thank you to both Gritts and Stoney for agreeing to do the podcast and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did recording it.So pour yourself a drink (it is a long one this week) sit back and enjoy an hour long special of Argyle Chat. This week's episode looks back on Plymouth Argyle's 2-1 League Two defeat at Bradford City where the Pilgrims ended the game with just nine men.It was a miracle the game was even on due to the atrocious weather and state of the Valley Parade pitch, but in the Yorkshire mud, Argyle came up short against a Bantams side that needed the win to boost their own promotion aspirations.Chris Errington joins host Stuart James to look back on the weekend's events and we also discuss Simon Hallett's 'Argyle philosophy' and five-year vision for the Pilgrims' future. We also pay tribute to Lee Hobbs and his Plymouth Parkway team for their terrific run in this season's FA Vase, which sadly came to an end following a 2-0 defeat at Hebburn Town in the quarter-finals on Saturday. It has certainly been a busy few weeks for Plymouth Argyle with four games in two weeks and with no game until Saturday's trip to Bradford, the break offers Ryan Lowe and his players the chance to recharge ahead of another challenging run of games. On Saturday, perhaps a bit of fatigue was evident as the Pilgrims were held to a goalless draw by Cambridge United at Home Park. Chris Erriungton and Jak Ball join host Stuart James to look back on that game, ahead to Bradford and we give our own take on the race for promotion from League Two, while Jak shoots down the argument made by Nathan Jones on Quest at the weekend that League Two is the hardest league to get out of. It was a bad day for Plymouth Argyle as their promotion hopes took a blow as they were hammered 3-0 at Colchester United - and it could have been a lot worse for the below-par Pilgrims. Three goals in the first half did the damage and the Essex side missed chances a plenty to win by a far bigger scoreline. So what went wrong?Given Argyle were far from convincing in some other recent games, had it been coming? Or is it just a blip in the Pilgrims' charge towards an immediate return to League One?Chris Errington and Jak Ball join host Stuart James to look back on Saturday's disappointment, but Argyle have an immediate chance to put things right when they head to Salford City on Tuesday night before another big game at home to Crewe Alexandra this weekend. He also reflects on his time in charge at Home Park, what it was really like to work with Dan McCauley and what he has been up to since leaving Cardiff City last season. Warnock also gave our 20 questions quiz a crack, so sit back and enjoy 45 minutes with one of the game's most colourful characters. Chris Errington and Jak Ball join host Stuart James in looking back on the victory where the Pilgrims closed the gap on League Two leaders Swindon Town following their surprise defeat at Newport County. We also discuss the excellent form of goalkeeper Alex Palmer and answer your questions, before Jak goes on a rant and defends FA Cup replays, which led to a Twitter 'spat' with Gary Lineker, of all people! This is turning into a season to remember for Plymouth Argyle, who extended their recent fine run with a convincing 3-0 win at Carlisle United on Saturday. 'He's one of our own' sang the Green Army as 'that boy' Luke Jephcott added another brace to the one he got at Scunthorpe United seven days earlier, which led to Ryan Lowe calling him his 'Goal Machine!'We discuss Jephcott's impact and whether he has the attributes to go far and ask whether Ryan Lowe has finally got his chance converters after a goalscoring debut from fellow frontman Ryan Hardie. Or will he look to do further business this January? We look ahead to the return of Graham Coughlan to Home Park on Saturday (for what feels like the tenth time this season) and the clash with Mansfield Town. A Happy new Year to all our listeners and it has been a good start to 2020 for Plymouth Argyle as well following the 3-1 win at Scunthorpe United, which ended a pretty productive festive period. After the disappointment of the postponed game at Macclesfield, Argyle went on to beat Cheltenham Town on Boxing Day and then Stevenage thanks to a stoppage time goal from Niall Canavan, A 2-1 defeat in front of the newly-opened Mayflower Stand kicked off the New Year, but normal service was resumed when Ryan Lowe's men won at Scunthorpe with two goals from Luke Jephcott, who had returned from a loan spell at Truro City. We look back on that festive period and ahead to January when the transfer window opens and Argyle have already concluded one piece of business with Tyreeq Bakinson arriving on loan from Bristol City. But who will follow? For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
