Good podcast if you enjoy college kids saying "umm", "like", and "yeah".

So funny how the world brings you when you start taking a note of the world around you a little closer. I just stopped by my local Tilden Botanical Garden. It's all natives and they built this interesting are that mimics the granite in Yosemite. looking forward to being sucked into this genre and labor of love of rock gardening.

Saying people just want an excuse not to tackle invasive species is misleading. The issue is a lot more complex than that - for example, some non-native species have become so integrated that taking all of them out would cause harm. There are also many non-natives that can grow where native plants have a lot of difficulty, like urban environments. This episode was frustrating.

Fantastic and fascinating interviews with an enormous range of experts - who are generally worth listening to for their own merit, let alone for the wealth of knowledge they bring to this podcast. This is my all time favourite botany/horticulture related podcast, and I can't recommend it enough.

I really enjoy this podcast. I enjoy plants but do tend to suffer a little "plant blindness" and this helps me keep my eyes on.
