Todays guest is Rieki Cordon facilitator at SEEDS - Regenerate Money decentralizing Abundance. SEEDS is a solution to the greatest crises of our time.  *** if you want a personal invite to join SEEDS, with complimentary SEEDS to get started please E-Mail me at julian@greenplanet-blueplanet.com  It's a digital currency and financial system like we've never had access to before. One that serves, rewards and finances the people and organizations committed to creating a healthier and more equitable planet. Crafted from systems that reflect the latest in financial, social and political innovation, SEEDS is the web that connects and nurtures a globally regenerative culture. A financial system by the people for the people ... and the planet! Seeds are the unit of currency for the SEEDS platform, designed for your everyday use; whilst also being a revolutionary new way to distribute value to initiatives that deliver favourable outcomes for environmental & societal regeneration. So, Seeds is the currency with a conscience! You can easily convert traditional money into Seeds, use them for day-to-day transactions, online or peer-to-peer and convert them back to your local currency any time. Seeds are programmed to be intrinsically stable. More stable in fact than government-issued currencies which consistently lose value and most, highly volatile cryptocurrencies. How? Well, as the SEEDS economy grows, rather than rising demand causing the price of each Seed to increase, transparent protocols maintain a stable value by growing new Seeds - just like central banks create more money today. New Seeds (this extra value from growth) then flow to all people, communities and organisations of the SEEDS ecosystem, based on a variety of contributions (not just wealth!). Not only that, but these protocols, distributions and initiatives are governed and evolved directly by the citizens of SEEDS. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support

This is Not the End - A 360 review on Regeneration After an incredible 7-year journey, Julian Guderley has recorded the 360th and (for now) final episode of Green Planet Blue Planet podcast. In this special episode, Julian is interviewed by his friend and collaborator Hope Paterson as they reflect on the genesis, evolution, and impact of the show. What started as a childhood dream of having his own "radio show" blossomed into a platform for sharing the voices and visions of inspiring change-makers from around the world. As Julian shares, his intention was to "meet some of the world's impact creators, people that make change, people that bring positivity to the world" through projects, businesses, art and more. Over 360 episodes, Julian has done just that - providing a space for authentic, insightful conversations that illuminate pathways towards individual and collective regeneration. The tagline "More than Sustainability" reveals the underlying ethos - going beyond superficial eco-trends to explore how to truly heal ourselves and build a more beautiful world. The Power of Authentic Conversations A central theme explored is the power of honest dialogue to connect, inspire and transform. Julian reflects that "every single person has something insightful, powerful and authentic to share" if you listen deeply. The intimate podcast format allows guests to "take off the makeup" and speak straight from the heart. Julian's own voice as a host also evolved greatly, sharpening his ability to "sharpen my opinions and own them" rather than holding back. As Hope notes, his "bold voice" and willingness to break rules allowed for brave, unfiltered exchanges. The Regenerative Renaissance One of the most powerful aspects of Green Planet Blue Planet was its role in uplifting and spreading the concept of "regeneration" and "regenaissence" - a rebirth and modern renaissance of regenerative thinking and living. Julian shares about celebrating the win of "contributing to the movement of people seeking a more beautiful world". The mission from the start was to create a platform to give a voice to elders and cultural leaders like: Bruce Lipton, Cynthia Jurs, Swami Chidananda, Charles Eisenstein, James Nestor, Alessa Berg, Daniel Christian Wahl and many more... The podcast surfed the "wave" of an evolving cultural consciousness. Balancing Ambition and Appreciation While celebrating the show's impact, Julian also explores the tension between ambition and contentment. As one of the top 2.5% most popular podcasts globally, there is success to appreciate. Yet the "competitive comparative culture" can breed a nagging sense of "what am I doing that it's not 100,000 listeners?" Ultimately, Julian seems to land in an understanding that trusting the intention behind your authentic expression is what matters most. The podcast created a "360 degree circle of regeneration" - and that completeness is worth pausing to honor. What's Next? Though Green Planet Blue Planet is ending for now, Julian and Hope are already flowing their creative energy into new channels like the "Breaking Rules of Business as Usual" video series. They are excited about facilitating more in-person gatherings that "dive deeper into one's own evolution" in an intimate group setting. As Julian shares, "This is not the end. This is just wrapping a 360 degree circle of the regeneration conversation." The wave of personal, cultural and planetary regenaissence continues to swell, with Julian riding alongside as a guide and catalyst. So stay tuned for whatever surprising form Julian's voice takes next as he keeps embodying the core message: Invest in "the bonds of relationships" as we co-create a more beautiful world. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support

Julian sits down with the creators of the original Bamboo House in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. A one-of-a-kind, cozy sustainable shelter. Curated by the natural environment found in the coast of Oaxaca. The heart of this house lies in the belief that we should all take part in building a more prosperous future and sustainability should be a priority considering the environmental shifts that we are facing. Inspired in making a more conscious lifestyle, we’ve designed Casa de la Tierra to evoke an authentic sense of wellbeing that embodies the space and connects spirit with nature. The house build was directed by Laura and Gonzalo, with help from Jorge Luna, permaculturist and biologist from Veracruz, specialized in construction and bamboo structures along with many family members, friends and volunteers that joined the journey of imagining and creating this house, to serve as an example of how to intertwine sustainability, comfort and balance with nature. Found next to an ecological reserve in Punta Zicatela, next to Puerto Escondido, just 10 minutes from the beach, Casa de la Tierra is a place to stimulate sensibility and immerse you in nature's echo. Here, the greatest luxury is finding your bare self sheltered by natural materials, sounds and sensations unique to Oaxaca's coast. All packed into a comfortable boutique setting. Casa de la Tierra is a completely unique experience. A dream come true that blends nature and architecture in an exceptional way. Imagine a house built entirely with bamboo and clay, surrounded by a natural pool lush vegetation. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support
Leah Rampy shares her journey of reconnecting with nature and spirituality in the face of climate chaos. She emphasizes the importance of falling in love with nature and recognizing that love as the language of nature. Leah explores the spiritual wisdom of trees and the lessons they teach us about resilience, connection, and cooperation. She highlights the genius of the natural world and the need to honor and learn from it. Leah also discusses the interplay between human intelligence and natural intelligence, as well as the potential of regenerative agriculture to restore ecosystems. In this conversation, Julian and Leah Rampy discuss the wisdom of indigenous peoples, the co-creation of the Amazon, and the intelligence of plants. They explore the importance of building beautiful communities and thriving ecosystems, and the need to fall in love with the world. They emphasize the significance of starting with one's own backyard and journeying to understand Earth and ourselves. They also discuss the seven generational perspective, the paradox of connection and individuality, and the importance of soil for health and ecosystems. Takeaways Indigenous peoples have co-created and cultivated the Amazon, and their deep knowledge of plants has contributed to the development of medical ingredients. Plants are living beings with intelligence, emitting frequencies and engaging in a conversation with the world. Building beautiful communities and thriving ecosystems requires a shift in perspective and a deep connection with nature. Falling in love with the world and understanding our role in it is essential for creating a vibrant planet. Starting with our own backyard and learning from different regions can contribute to the revolution of consciousness. The seven generational perspective reminds us of our connection to the past and our responsibility to future generations. Balancing connection and individuality is key to creating a harmonious world. Soil health is crucial for nutritious food, and mistreating the soil harms biodiversity and ecosystems. The Boring Revolution. The matter of this Better Worlds episode is far from mundane. As advocated by Indy Johar, co-founder of Dark Matter Labs, who visited with Green Planet Blue Planet Host Julian Guderley for this podcast episode, a boring revolution is a fundamental shift in how we as humans perceive ourselves, our relationships, and the institutional frameworks that reinforce those perceptions. The old world view created over time, positions humans as dominion over everything instead of recognizing the agency and aliveness of everything, including objects. This episode explores multiple facets of this paradigm shift challenges us to fundamentally rethink what it means to be human and how we relate to each other and the planet. Indy suggests our current worldview and societal structures are extractive, guided by externalities, and they put humanity at risk of self-termination. In other words, we have constructed a language of humans being in dominion over the world, in control of the world through theories constructed in various ways, including by religions. Next, Indy says, we constructed perspective, which put distance between us and put control into bureaucracy, governance, kings etc. Humans then separated themselves from the world, turned things into objects rather than perceiving them as entanglements in relationship with humans. That led to classifications and language shifts from verb - action oriented terms - to nouns, and finally moved into a thesis of property as a universal means of organizing. The worldview became one of control over, and property - ownership - became an enslavement of things. To hear more about these fascinating and complex theories, tune in now, let us know what you think, like it and share, and then visit us at betterworlds.com for more shows and podcast subjects.  About Indy Johar Indy Johar is focused on the strategic design of new super scale civic assets for transition - specifically at the intersection of financing, contracting and governance for deeply democratic futures. This week’s episode of Green Planet Blue Planet perfectly reflects Dana Meadows’s messages from 1972 in her book Limits to Growth. More than a half-century later, humanity is still grappling with the same question. David Peter Stroh, author of “Systems Thinking for Social Change: A Practice Guide to Solving Complex Problems” dives into the subject of  empowering individuals to create change when the world needs it most. "People don't need enormous cars; they need respect. They don't need closets full of clothes; they need to feel attractive and they need excitement, challenge, acknowledgment, love, joy. To try to fill these needs with material things is to set up an unquenchable appetite for false solutions to real and never satisfied problems." … Dana Meadows from the book Limits to Growth, 1972  Stroh outlines systems thinking in this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet with host Julian Guderley, beginning with the enormous question: What does the world need most from people? Simply - it is a deeper appreciation of where joy truly originates. Taught by the advertisers in the free market, people expect joy to come from the acquisition of stuff. With the gifting holidays approaching, it’s definitely on peoples’ minds and weighing heavy on hearts as they are bombarded with continuous messages to acquire more and more things.  Stroh said research shows human joy comes from connecting: Connecting with nature, and being nourished by nature, connecting with other people, and certainly connecting with different experiences and different places. Starting out as a transportation designer in government, he ultimately gravitated toward the spiritual aspects of connections and his passion for acting, both useful to him in his next movement into the field of organizational development.  This led him to question the conventional approaches to organizational development to shift to a focus on the underlying visions and aspirations and the way in which individuals relate to each other and the larger environment. Stroh co-founded Innovation Associates in the 1970s with Peter Senge, who in 1990 authored a book on the art and practices of learning organizations, entitled The Fifth Discipline, based on their pioneering work on systems thinking, which is core to understanding the often non obvious connections between different parts of an evolving system.  Listen to the entire podcast and engage in the discussion to explore new perspectives on transforming our mindset for effective solutions to chronic complex issues, as well as navigating the paradoxes involved in gaining control of large and unwieldy systems. About Peter David Stroh David Peter Stroh is internationally recognized for his work in enabling leaders to apply systems thinking to achieve breakthroughs around chronic, complex problems and to develop strategies that improve system-wide performance over time. He has been described as “a magician” and “the master at providing interesting and useful ways to look at the complexity of systems thinking”, who “helped us tremendously in getting to the core issues” with “the mind of a scientist and the heart of a healer.” David is the author of the best-selling book Systems Thinking for Social Change: A Practical Guide for Solving Complex Problems, Avoiding Unintended Consequences, and Achieving Lasting Results (Chelsea Green, 2015), which readers praise as “an essential – and long overdue – guide to applied systems thinking” that “shows you how to enlist others in the effort” by “masterfully weaving metaphor, story, and practical tools” using “down-to-earth language.” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support
On this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet, Host Julian Guderley speaks with Lisa about her book, “Soap and Soul, Minding Your Mind, Your Body, and Your Spirit with Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap.”  Fortunately for us, Lisa found her voice and has picked up on the family business of not only making natural products but also to provide others with  a guide on holistic living. About Lisa Bronner Having been an avid lifelong reader, Lisa wrote her first book in 2023 as a part companion guide to using her family’s soaps and part green living how-to with stories and memories of the entire Bronner soap-making family. An educator, she taught high school English and journalism after switching from  Civil Engineering to an English degree in college, but she still weaves numbers and words. Lisa is a married mom of three nearly grown children who says her best time of day is gathering with family around the dinner table. What’s in Dr. Bronner Soap? Do you know what you’re bringing into your home? From household goods to body products, what’s in your soap? In the post-war 1940s, while Hollywood and corporate spinners hyped cigarettes, alcohol, canned food, and cleaning agents, Master Soapmaker Dr. E.H. Bronner stepped away from the crowd. He began asking questions about household chemicals and telling another story promoting natural products and a return to nature.  Now, 78 years later, Lisa Bronner, granddaughter and 5th generation soapmaker, has written a holistic guide on natural products, Dr. Bronner’s magic soap, that also provides recipes for cleaning solutions.  Recognizing that many are aware of the problems, as seen in the rising awareness in cultural conversations, Lisa doesn’t have to convince anyone. “Our bodies are going haywire,” she says. It’s to begin  the next conversation of what to do about it.  Many of us, especially in the United States, have been raised on a culture of product. Busy mothers were convinced that they were doing the right thing for their families by buying the brand names propagandized by corporate daytime TV sponsors and Good Housekeeping ads. As a result, many people grew up instinctively using the same products and following the same habits. Lisa says the challenge today is pointing out the “invisible.” “The other day, I was taking a walk with my neighbor. And I live out in the country with acres between our houses, and we were walking down the street and I could smell somebody's laundry. I was acres away from a house and I could smell their laundry…Can you imagine how intense those fumes must be in the house or right outside the house? And my neighbor didn't even notice the scent, because it's such a normal thing.” As Dr. Bronner’s company marks its 75th anniversary, join Julian and Lisa for a clean and intriguing discussion on the evolution of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap and the new guide to help people move to natural solutions.  Learn more about Lisa from her website Going Green with Lisa Bronner, www.lisabronner.com About Better Worlds.  Better Worlds seeks to explore alternative viewpoints through media, international conferences, symposia, essays and hack-a-thons that encourage and support the development of innovative solutions. https://www.betterworlds.com/ --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/julian-guderley/support
Realizing that by definition the Classics, Greek and Latin, really wouldn’t set her up for the future, Dr. Kat Bruce dropped out of Oxford and went as far away as she could, ending up in the Ecuadorian Amazon. All that learning of Greek verse by sound, strangely and surprisingly, translated into an “amazing” transferable skill of identifying birds by their calls - 150 different birds over three months. But moreover, Kat’s life in an Amazon indigenous community 100 miles from the nearest road, with no running water and no electricity, changed her life for good. For a few years she returned to the Amazon to run around counting birds and being part of a few expeditions - including building balsa wood rafts and floating town a tributary of the Amazon for a few weeks. And then somebody pointed out she should probably go back to the university to get a degree of some kind, before it was too late. She earned a wildlife biology degree with the intention of going back to hang out in the Amazon. But Kat Bruce doesn’t just hang out. Once she starts things she goes further than their conclusion. She continued studying and left only after receiving her PHD where she modeled a particular system of ant plants - plants in the Amazon that live symbiotically with ants. And she joined the rowing club and combined it with research in eDNA, and this became the evolution of her first start up company, NatureMetrics. In the discussion on this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet, Host Julian Guderley follows Kat’s path to collecting eDNA, while combining it with a passion for rowing. She joined a rowing team that was part of an initiative to gather data on the threats to biodiversity - pollution, plastics, sound pollution, but she recognized the need to tell the stories about what is possible to do to bring back biodiversity, clean up our seas and to restore the ecosystems. So she put together her own ocean rowing team of women who work in the fields of nature and climate to row around Great Britain in 2024, while collecting all the data and telling stories. To hear more about this journey, the outcomes and upcoming plans, listen to the entire podcast on the Better Worlds YouTube channel. Her particular interest lies in how to bring together the worlds of research, industry and policy to drive forward advances in our capacity to monitor the natural world. Kosha Jourbet, designer of eco-villages, learned how little she needed and how generous people are as she regularly walked the African coast in an impoverished community with no money. It was a firsthand experience with nature. She slept on the beach on a thin blanket and had very few clothes. Her priorities were finding water and food. She swam across big rivers. Ultimately, she broke down the barriers between nature and herself. “I was afraid of nature. How many of us are afraid of nature? We're afraid of spiders. We're afraid of scorpions. But we're also just afraid of space, or the ocean or the sky, or sleeping alone in the dark or walking in the dark or crossing a river. Breaking down those fears inside myself was amazing. I got to know the night sky, I got to know the beauty of flowers of the ripples of the ocean, waking up in the early dawn, watching the sunrise, walking down the beach and finding the most beautiful shell as if it was a gift of the ocean.” Kosha’s journey took her into her African homeland reinstated a trust in herself. Later in life she met an indigenous leader of the Maori in New Zealand, who spoke these words: In my tradition, we do not need to earn a living, because simply by being born on the planet into a body, we have our earth right to be alive. How many of us still have yet to learn this? Join Kosha in a conversation with Green Planet Blue Planet Host Julian Guderley exploring the simple necessities of life and the ease of building eco-villages to meet the needs of humans and nature. A Crisis in Leadership: What’s holding you back?  Whether it's climate change, politics or economics, our business world has a universal, widespread crisis in leadership. In this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet, Satyen Raja, author of Transcendental CEO and founder of WarriorSage, explores this leadership crisis with Host Julian Guderley observing the patterns among those who are called to business leadership that cause them to lose their way and disconnect  from spirit, heart and soul as though they are detriments to business success. The opposite is true, Satyen says. Enlightenment leads to the Greater Good. Satyen and his wife Suzanne are the founders of Sage Warriors, whose mission is to enlighten, unify and mobilize leaders for higher purpose. The discussion winds through benevolent AI and what's needed to ensure AI is evolved for a higher cause, and the trimtabs to a better business environment. “We have all the knowledge, we have all the intellect. We have the incredible scholarly capacity of brilliant minds around the world, to be able to have brilliant creations and technologies, we have all the technology on the planet we need. We actually have all the resources, all the money, all the human power that we need. What we're lacking is the enlightenment of our leadership.”  As a transcendental leadership coach, Satyen and his wife Suzzanne guide CEOs and business leaders to their purpose so they can do it, and down the path to transformation and spiritual evolution so they may lead a fuller life with improved relationships. Geoship is working to replace 2.2 TRILLION concrete blocks a year with geodesic components made from bioceramics. CEO Morgan Bierschenk, inspired by the vision of Buckminster Fuller, is uniting communities through experimentation and innovation reshaping the way we live with resilient materials that stand the test of time! For the last seven years, Geoship, @Geoship has created a platform for Beirschenk’s ultimate goal: To build regenerative villages and help people live in a regenerative way, not just a different type of architecture. "With 2.2Trillion Geodesic components, it's like a home for every human in 1-2 years" - Morgan Beirschenk Through his R&D, the ceramic dome rose to the top as the most efficient structure, flowing from the original mission of Buckminster Fuller and executing the vision through the use of 21st Century materials and manufacturing technology. In this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet, Host Julian Guderley speaks with Morgan about the synergies that happen as a result of GeoShip’s process to innovate a bioceramic material for dome construction. The discussion leads to how to come together in a digital space that will build relationships and lead to the creation of villages through a democratized design build process, and ultimately get, to scale to reduce home costs to about $80 a square foot, and achieve a 95% reduced carbon footprint. The structures are fireproof, hurricane and earthquake resistant and the health benefits are real, with 100% non-toxic materials. The ceramics and the fractal geometry work together to create a sense of balance that uniquely combines low cost, sustainable, resilient and healthy attributes for home building, ecological and regenerative living. Tune in to hear more about the entire process unique to GeoShip, as well as Morgan’s philosophies decentralized home building to benefit villages. In this episode of Green Planet Blue Planet, Host Julian Guderley asks this question of Biologist and Regeneration thought-leader Author Daniel Wahl Christian, and explores the critical mission to stretch beyond sustainable communities to become builders and custodians of regenerative bioregions for the future. As ethical concerns surrounding AI loom large, they explore the urgent need to dismantle the mental barriers that separate humans from co-creating with nature. Regenerative ecosystems call for a departure from abstract problem-solving towards a deep connection with nature. Daniel emphasizes that true regeneration can only be achieved within a specific place, context, and culture, rather than through generic master plans. It requires embracing a culture of care and reigniting humanity's innate bond with the natural world. Throughout the episode, listeners are invited to embark on a transformative journey of learning, discovery, and adaptation, recognizing their agency and falling in love with nature. Join Julian and Daniel as they challenge prevailing mindsets and inspire a new era of regenerative practices. Discover how co-creating with the natural world can reshape our future for the better. # About Daniel Christian Wahl: Daniel Christian Wahl is a biologist, renowned sustainability educator, consultant, and activist.
