well said, Katie. and Bryan, you should have given her more credit instead of just breezing over her well-thought out conclusion to end the podcast.
I did like how this movie handles divorce. I know it's not an "issue" anymore but so much media still portrays the woman as a prize to be won by these competing men. It's nice to see a realistic portrayal of people who have just grown apart and cant be together anymore. Good stuff on that front. Other areas not so much...
I remember hating the step dad so much as a kid; & 25 yr old me still feels that way. Especially when they find out the pets are missing, the step dad basically says 'we aren't going to look for them, deal with it.' AND THE MOM JUST SITS THERE & DOES NOTHING! What did she see in this guy?!
This made me rethink the film a lot. Def need to give the book a read soon. Ashamed I haven't done so already.
