As humans, it's inevitable that we will encounter pain in our life. Much of this pain is out of our control, but some of it we can influence and soothe. This is true in our meditation practice, as well. When pain arises in meditation--an itch, knee pain, etc--should we alleviate it if we can, or should we practice being with it? I know this is a rerun but it’s even more relevant, I think, today than it was, at the time of the recording. Especially with the delta variant out. For anyone that thinks the pandemic is not serious, my whole household - my boyfriend of 10 years, my daughter, step-daughter and myself, all contracted COVID. The kids both got over it pretty quickly but I ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia, and my boyfriend ended up in the ICU. He passed away 3 weeks ago. Please, everyone… I encourage you to take this seriously! I wish I had taken it more seriously and now my life has been completely uprooted (it’s just my daughter and me know - my stepdaughter moved in with her mother full time). I’ll live with the regret of underestimating the seriousness of COVID for the rest of my life. If you think this is something that’s over-dramatized by the government/politics (which was our stance), think about the worst case scenario, and how you’d might feel, know you could have done more but did
I love that question. How many good ideas have I had that I never acted on because all the things seemed so overwhelming that I never even got started? Asking myself this question could rid myself of all that drama and help me figure out how to simple start - with simple 😄
Hi Cory, been listening to your podcasts for a while and really enjoy your teachings. I always seem to find a different podcast that helps me understand, how I am feeling at that present moment in time. Thanks Anna.

This podcast is absolutley wonderful. it gives bite size tips that are applicable to everyday life. The timing is relevant for so many of the episodes and I feel connected to a larger community.
I'm listening to episode 5 and God its awesome! thanks a lot 😊😊
I’ve known Cory since his podcasts and meditation guides on simple habit ,and when I suddenly found his podcast in here, i was so excited and happy ! It’s great to listen to him everyday, i think it’s something you won’t ever regret 😍💛
Wow! "Resistance" - a new label/description instead of "chasing squirrels" for my ADHD brain! AND a new way to use the "take a deep focusing breath technique" to help mitigate! Considering "distractions" as "resistance" looks at the challenge from a slightly different perspective. But it does bring up the question:"resistance to WHAT?" When is it helpful to take the time to try to ID the "WHAT" to possibly lessen the amount of squirrel chasing/resistance? 🤔
Once I can love and honor myself as I am, whole and imperfect, I will move into a place where I want to be, acceptance. Thank you Cory 🤗
I am LOVING this podcast!! I have been listening since the start and I listen every morning. I find that these little life hacks Cory offers are making a big difference in my life. Thank you Coryfor all you do and all you offer 😊

Cory, Thank you so much for this special post. Several elements of your message were so in tune with what I needed to hear tonight. I plan to listen again first thing in the morning. In gratitude and in gassho, Karen R.
Cory is my favourite meditation teacher. So I absolutely love the fact that I can listen to his teachings every day! Excited about what is ahead for future episodes!
Great podcast! Really helps having something everyday to stay on the journey Keep up the good work Cory
Hi Cory your podcast hits the spot. I'm already hooked & anticipating each days content. I'm going to start journaling my thoughts on my current state relating to your topics in order to record a baseline to look back to in 1, 3, 6, 9+ months. Excited to see my growth. Maybe next time when you verbally list resources where someone may want to take a note slow the pace down.
Loving it Cory, keep it going.
Looking forward to the daily dose of Practicing Human. Cory, your recordings on Simple Habit are some of my favorite.
I feel so happy about this podcast! Undoubtedly one of my faves! ❤️
