Welcome back to another episode of Grounded with The Front Range Fellas.    For part 3, we discuss the hype and subsequent search for Emma Watson in 2014 when she was spotted at times on campus at Boston College, and the many shortcomings of our dysfunctional "Emma Watson Search Party."  It was a great effort and we simply wanted to get a photo with the legendary actress.   Check out the other parts of this conversation and enjoy!  Come say hi on Instagram:   instagram.com/thomas.harpole **** This podcast is now sponsored by Denver Data Web! The late David Foster Wallace was a legendary, MacArthur-Fellow-winning genius that I really look up to.    His books and short stories are so well-written and his writing will change the way you think about storytelling.     Take a deep dive into his work! This episode of The Good Stuff replays the commencement speech he did at Kenyon College and talks about freedom, discipline, awareness, American adult life, liberal arts education, and where we, as humans, look for truth.    I wanted to have a place where the audio will be forever, and it will be on this podcast! Check out Infinite Jest, The View from Mrs. Thompson's, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, Consider The Lobster, Big Red Son, and all of his good stuff.    All rights and credits for this speech belong to the David Foster Wallace Estate, there is no advertising revenue and this episode is designed for the public benefit. -T --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ttmbu/message
Welcome to What The Heck, an occasional chat I have with professional musician and songwriter Zach Heckendorf, a Colorado native and well-known dude here in Denver. We discuss the songwriting process (Zach takes us through a few songs on guitar), the state of modern acoustic music in America, the drive it takes to be an independent musician, what Zach has learned from the last 10 years of his career, how he got started as a teen, and what he plans to do with his life.    Who is Zach? By age 18, Denver native Zach Heckendorf had signed his first record deal, released his first album, played Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre and shared stages with Rodrigo y Gabriela, John Butler Trio, Brett Dennen, The Lumineers, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Guster, and One Republic.   He toured the country extensively for several years and has built a grassroots following this past decade playing in clubs and music venues across the United States.    Over 50,000 people tune in monthly on Spotify and Apple Music to listen to his tunes, and his songs have amassed millions of streams online through those platforms.   He is an example of the driving hustle and resolve it takes to  Zach's new album, Hawk Talk, will be released this month!   He is also headlining the Bluebird Theater in Denver on Jan 9!    See his links below for music, info, and when he might have a show near you. -T Zach Heckendorf: on Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/artist/6ByG3e9FrWcM1eOJcIuOSR on Apple Music - https://music.apple.com/us/artist/zach-heckendorf/id351324391 website - http://www.zachheckendorf.com/tour instagram - https://www.instagram.com/zheckendorf/?hl=en facebook - https://www.facebook.com/zachheckendorf/ tickets to Denver show (Jan 9) -  http://bit.ly/2QEr1JD Thank you for listening! A type of hyper loop is coming to Denver in the next 3 to 5 years. Residents will be able to travel up to 200 miles an hour along existing highway systems. The governor is on board – amazing!
