This was one of the best podcasts that I have ever listened to about training. I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey and I learned a huge amount of knowledge about strength training. I never knew so much knowledge went into creating a program. What is your best advice for a women starting out with strength training?

So refreshing to come across real honest truths about topics regarding food and fitness. This podcast reminds me that small steps are big wins and that we are all human. so....when life happens it's ok to have happiness and enjoyment over food and drinks. love the x's and o's consistency strategy.... especially since I'm an all or nothing kinda gal!! I gave up alcohol in 2018 for the year and it was crazy how some friends reacted. they really took it personally even though it didnt impact them and I still went for regular nights out. I am back to drinking but I never go over a certain amount and I dont understand how people who get hungover would want to feel like that regularly 🤷🏻♀️ its pointless calories and a huge waste of money
I agree with your take on optimism. I read Viktor Frankyls book years ago and he said the greatest freedom we have is to choose our attitude in any situation

I'm in surgical menopause. I had. TAHBSO dec 1 2017. I'm 35. hot flashes, weight gain, INSOMNIA is real. i used to get 8hrs of sleep before surgery now i get maybe 5. i have a labor job and man it's horrible. surgical menopause is a beast. cut out the hormones cold turkey!
this will be so invaluable for anyone wishing to change their lifestyle....not a quick fix and trust the process

Great stuff! Very helpful discussion about breaking things down to a few big "rocks" that you can focus on and do consistently, because consistency is number one.
