Description

Imagine Game of Thrones merged with Witcher but with a horror spin. Aethuran Dark Saga has often been branded a dramatized audiobook as the richness of the world portrayed puts it miles ahead of many other podcasts. This show takes no prisoners and immerses the listener in a dismal gritty world drenched in blood and filled with wailings of its inhabitants. It's as gripping as it is unforgiving, written and acted with true passion and attention to detail, which is going to make your heart grow with compassion towards the characters, only to shatter it to pieces a minute later. In this world, evil is more frequently rewarded than good deeds and not a single person is exempt from suffering a gruesome death. If you're into dark fantasy, this is probably the best show out there for you to check -. From Myst(tribesmedia editor)

This show would have worked better as an audio book, as a audio drama I found it very hard to follow along with by the end I wasn't sure which way was up and what was down, weather I was living in the future or the past. The best thing I can say about this is, it has potential to be more. I really wanted to enjoy this as I love fantasy but for me persoanlly it just didn't check the right boxes. I'll give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Best fantasy podcast out there. Podcast dramas at the minute are inundated with Sci-fi and true crime, this podcast is a saga. It deftly avoids the tired old fantasy tropes and anchors the incredible story arc to the wonderfully created characters. What's more, it treats its listeners as adults and doesn't flesh out episodes with pointless exposition, rather it subtly introduces and builds on the lore and mythos of Aethuran and leads the listener on grand journey of excitement, action, bloody guts and unexpected twists and turns. I would recommend anybody dedicate some time to embarking on the journey. 5 *s
