Description

This podcast was created to take you behind the scenes of my novels to share exactly what inspired me to write the stories and characters within my books. I also interview special guests who are changing the world one person at a time. You’re going to find inspiration from stories—both novels and real life—to make the change you want within yourself. If you want to find your purpose, reduce the negativity in your life, all while enjoying great novel and character discussions, then this podcast is for you because you’re going to start understanding the true connection fictional storytelling has to your life. And when you begin to see your life from this perspective, not only does reading your favorite novels become much more powerful, but anything you want to create in your own life becomes possible.

As I wrap up The Raven Wars and send it out into the world, I’m being called to write a book to help authors get their story out into the world. It’s the inner journey I went on from the moment I decided to write a novel, and the struggles I had to overcome to write three novels, with many more to come. I believe that everything you need to write you book comes from within you, and that’s what this book will show you how to do. I’ve also made the author program available again if you’re interested to work with me to write your novel!I’ll be back in November with new episodes, and I will begin working on Book Three of The Raven Dreams Series at the same time :)Get your copy of The Raven Wars!Begin the author program

This week, we’re on to Chapter 17 of The Raven Dreams. Isaak is with Minu getting a lot of information that he finds hard to believe. But is it really hard to believe, or is Isaak just unable to see the truth? My next book The Raven Wars is done, and will be published on October 1st! Believing in the unseen can be one of the most difficult things we accomplish in this life, and some of us never will, yet that is the true reason we’re here, in these bodies, having this experience on earth.Get your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along! Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond

In this chapter, we’re back with Eva as she faces more challenges in Dysmortia as a prisoner and she also loses control of herself for the first time. As introverts, it’s easy to bottle everything inside, but there comes a time when we can no longer hold it in and it explodes in a fiery fury. I talk about my own challenges with this and how to begin speaking your truth so this doesn’t happen.Get your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along! Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond

This week, I take a moment to share a bit about who this podcast is for. Then we go right into Chapter 15 from Isaak’s point of view. This is one of my favorite chapters because Isaak meets Minu, who is a free-spirited Vitalist who seems to know a lot and keeps it a secret. Also, anger or peace. Which side of the spectrum are you one?Check out the Story GridWizards Unite AppGet your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along!Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond

In Chapter 14, Eva is held prisoner and forced to speak up in order to save herself from getting sicker than she already is. We also get deep into what it means to live from a place of fear (which disguises itself often as anger, sadness, criticism, etc) and how to shift to live and be love. Yes, all of this inspired by The Raven Dreams!Check out Songland (P.S. In the recording I said it was only on Hulu, but I was mistaken. This week we move onto Chapter 10 of The Raven Dreams, from Eva’s point of view. We see her battle it out with Talvy and explore the dark forest at night to discover what secret Talvy could possibly want her to find. In this episode, we move into Chapter 9 of The Raven Dreams. Eva is faced with some hard truths about her people while Aron is confronted with a stone to the head. We’re also introduced to one of my favorite characters in this chapter! Doing the right thing over the easy thing when faced with a decision is never easy, but it will always lead you closer to the light and to your purpose. Get your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along!Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond

Today we are discussing Chapter 7 of The Raven Dreams from Simon’s point of view. Back in Dysmortia, they’re faced with a dangerous decision when Bethany’s health goes downhill fast. Updates in my life include puppies, more writing, and fighting off a cold. (You will hear the puppy in the background pounding on the door to get in. It’s her contribution to the show lol)Watch The OA on NetflixGet your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along!Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond
This week we’re discussing chapter 6 of The Raven Dreams, where Eva and the other Vitalists are introduced to The Tosser and weapons for the first time. We see Eva standing strong despite her fear and holding space for others who are afraid of what’s to come. Again, Eva acts as an example for us to remember to let things go, rather than hold onto resentment or anger from someone else’s actions.Get your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along!Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond
We’re on to Chapter 5 in The Raven Dreams! Eva is having more dreams which give insight to what they might meanwhile in the real world the Vitalists begin preparing for war, an entirely new and scary concept for them. Take some notes from Eva’s dreams to explore your own. Dreams have a lot to tell us if we take the time to look more deeply at them and how they are tied to our reality.Get your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along!Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond
Today we start Chapter 4, which is the first chapter from Simon’s point of view! I think this is the perfect introduction to Simon. We get to see the world of Dysmortia first-hand as he experiences his own struggles and meets some allies and enemies. Just like Simon, how can you be brave, even in the face of something scary? Or support others when they are in need?Get your own copy of The Raven Dreams to follow along!Stay in touch: www.alysiaseymour.comIf you enjoy this podcast, you may also like this podcast, which I am co-host on: Belgariad & Beyond
