We will be taking 9 weeks to go through 1 Thessalonians.
God desires for us to want our spouse. He wants us to keep our hearts, our eyes, and our hands on our spouse modeling Proverbs 4:23 - “guard your hearts above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
God wants us to establish a healthy attachment to our spouse. Just like Adam and Eve, he designed us to need one another as demonstrated in Genesis 2.
Ephesians 5 says to "imitate God in everything we do." We are called to love like God, and to fight like God. We have to learn how to fight fair with our spouse before it becomes a shootout.
Marriage is a covenant. A covenant is described as a two-way promise. It is ongoing. It is give and take. Marriage is an exchange of gifts through this covenant.
The Church is God’s people who gather to be encouraged, equipped, and exhorted into Christ’s likeness. You belong here.
Why belong to a local church? Today we will identify many ways about why God wishes for us to experience community within the church for His glory.
God is the head of the Church. Everything begins with Him. When we look at what a Church is, we must first begin with acknowledging that it’s all for His glory.
We are disciples who are called to make disciples. Let's have urgency of advancing the Kingdom and pointing others to Jesus as we follow him.
God had a plan, Jesus had a plan, and you need a plan. Following Jesus On Purpose takes intentionality. Join us as we learn how to engage with our city, our community, and our neighborhoods On Purpose.
Where has the Lord placed you? It's time to get to work. God has called us to be workers of the harvest.
What is the Kingdom that Jesus com- mands us to seek? What does this com- mand mean for us? Join us as we dive deeper into how to Seek the Kingdom ON PURPOSE.
Jesus tears down the dividing wall of hostility. He is our Prince of Peace. He is our Reconciler of all things.
Did you know that we are coheirs with Christ? Romans 8:17 tells us that we are God's children, and thus coheirs with Christ and loved by our father in Heaven whole love is Eternal.
Jesus is God Himself. He has all power and authority and is the one who over- came the enemy, defeated death, and conquered sin. Jesus is Lord of all.
Everything we have comes from God. In 1 Chronicles 29, David exclaims he and God’s people have given with good mo- tives, willingly and joyously. How can we have an attitude like David when it comes to all we have?
God has entrusted you with all you have. How can we put what He has given us into action so that we can be like the man who received the talents in Matthew 25 and immediately put them to work?
