Jill Emberson is getting married two months after finishing her latest bout of palliative chemotherapy. She was freshly in love and stimulated at work when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Nine months later, she was told she’d be lucky to be alive in five years. We all know we’ll die one day, but what’s it like to live life with death in sight? And how does it feel to have a terminal illness from the very cradle of life, our ovaries?

Jill has won an award, started a massive new campaign and tried two different treatments for ovarian cancer, so we thought it was about time for a Bonus Episode to keep you up to date.
It’s early 2018, and Jill is going back into chemo, but this time it’s palliative. If the treatment is a success it will buy her a healthy window of time for her wedding and honeymoon.
Jill starts the fight to get on a drug trial that won’t cure her cancer but could buy her a few more years.
Nine months after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer, Jill is told her cancer is back. That makes it terminal.
Jill’s daughter Malia was studying overseas when Jill was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Malia and Jill remember that conversation, and the emergency trip home.
