Long time no listen, creeps! Welcome back to our regularly scheduled episodes! We're kicking off our return with a little diddy all the way from Japan. Yotsuya Kaidan, is perhaps the most well-known ghost story in Japan, and in this episode we do a retelling of the legend while providing some history and cultural context . The story of Yotsuya Kaidan has been a huge inspiration for the genre of Japanese horror, and the main character of the story has inspired such characters like Samara from the movie The Ring.

We cover Leap's ancient and bloody history then we discuss the ghosts that are believed to have been produced from the fortress's dark past. The Queen Mary was built as a luxury ocean liner but was commandeered during WWII to transport troops across the Atlantic, where she was (appropriately) nicknamed the "Grey Ghost" for her stealth and speed.

In this short and sweet episode, the B's cover the legend of the infamous Dybbuk Box! This little bit of folklore actual has fairly modern roots. The story of the dybbuk box (which is actually a haunted wine cabinet) became popularized in the early 2000's. But don't worry if you're scratching your head wondering, "what the heck is dybbuk?" , we'll fill ya in! So settle in, because the box's history is truly terrifying.
