Dan Ozzi is a journalist and author of the new book SELLOUT which chronicles the journey of 11 bands over 11 chapters, from gGreen Day to Against Me! as they signed to major labels . It is a fascinating and insightful dive into some of the most influential records to us. I also found it to be a storied and well researched exploration of moral choices in art and how that fits into our economy and society here in our subcultural's corner of the world. Today I am joined by Justin Staple. Justin is a producer, director, photographer and documentary filmmaker. Justin double majored in economics and film at the University of Chicago. He then went on to work for Vice for many years where he produced the series The Therapist, and Noisey, He worked on Fightland among many other things. He is an accomplished videographer and stills photographer and has shot the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Post Malone, Fetty Wop, and Katy Perry to name a few. In this interview we dive deep into a bit of background, the parallels of the creative processes for visual art and music and we dive into the shallow end of the crypto world, specifically Non Fungible Tokens, or NFTs and their current and potential use in the world of creative meda. Justin directed the FIRST NFT Music Video with his production company All The Smoke.

Anika is a poet, and artist, and a musician. She has played under the banners of Chumped, as well as Katie Ellen. Her newest solo record, titled ‘Wild River’, is out now. I have been a fan and friend of Anika's for quite some time and this is very much my favorite release of hers to date.

Today I am joined by the legendary Scott Bell! Scott has been the tour manager of the Menzingers for over a decade. He has Charged headfirst into every hailstorm, he has sheparded us and held our hands up every valley and peak on this incredible Journey.
When he's not liberating brats on the eastern front or waging rider-war on the west he is a fierce history buff, a relentless and inspiring political organizer, and a scene maker in Michigan, curating shows and festivals and providing a platform for artists and punters alike.
He is one of my best friends in the world, ladies and gentlement, the first of many recorded conversations with, Scott Bell.

In this episode we talk about plans for the year, predictions, dry January, the band’s Patreon, Lexus commercials, forgiving yourself, and our newfound loves of videography and photography.
