Don't allow people to hold you back from reaching your potential. Create a supportive environment. You need to identify time wasters in your life and remove it. 3. Guard your mind from all negativity. 4. Guard your environment. Don't hang out with negative people. Hang out with inspired, motivated, positive, happy, & upbeat people. 5. Feed your mind. Read books, listen to audio books and podcasts, discuss ideas, & surround yourself with people who will challenge you. 6. Feed your environment. Invite positive, inspired people in. Show them how to meet challenges with a step ahead.

If you do just that and stay consistent with your healthy habits; expect that you will see something in yourself that you never saw before!Here are some steps on re-programming your mind, that I picked in the beginning stages of my personal development journey!Re-program your mind: 1. Show them how to meet challenges with step ahead.“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” ~ Ephesians 4:22-24.  

I believe we all, at some point in our lives, struggle with the temptation to protect our reputation at the expense of our character. But..What I’ve come to learn is that anytime God is going to bring you out something, He has to make you a victim of your own behavior.So, in order for God to mold us into the person he wants us to become we have to face our truths head on. He won’t lower His standards, because He created us to win. Always remember, there is not a pocket of darkness that the light of god won’t find. “You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”Psalm 139:1-4, 7, 11-12, 23-24 NIV

I think we first have to understand that we truly are made in His image. That miracles aren’t just for the people in the Bible we read about. He created and equipped us to do those things too. We just have to believe and trust Him first. God has already planted seeds of dreams in us as a child, but sometimes we let society and other people’s thinking into our heads and hearts too soon.There’s a reason He talks to us frequently about who we are through the Bible. So you can’t based who you are according to those who follow you but rather on the one you follow, who is Jesus Christ. So take Him at His Word!“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”John 14:15-18, 20-21 

To be a leader for Jesus, I need to be a follower of Jesus. In John 15, Jesus tells us, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”So...There’s only so much we can do in our own power BUT when we stay connected to Jesus, all the power of heaven is at our disposal. Your potential is limitless. And The Apostle Paul clearly reminds us of that in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

No matter which book we read, podcast we hear, or youtube video we watch....It all points back to Jesus!“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” - John 1:1-3In the teaching, life and work of Jesus, God communicated everything he desired.He tells us to Believe in Him and He wants us to spread the Word of Him to EVERYONE.  So...no matter what conclusion we come up just know, “Every Word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him." -Proverbs 30:5We can always look to the source of Truth, the Bible.
