In their final outing for the year, mum and son head out to watch Little Women on Boxing Day. Seeing an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic story feels like a Christmas tradition, but how does Greta Gerwig and Saoirse Ronan's take on the material compare to earlier renditions? Mum and son brave the painterly coming-of-age drama The Goldfinch, despite its largely negative critical reaction and poor box office in the U.S. to see whether this adaptation of a Pulitzer prize-winning novel starring the likes of Ansel Elgort, Nicole Kidman, Jeffrey Wright, Sarah Paulson, Finn Wolfhard and Luke Wilson can really be as bad as the press has made it out to be.
