Description

The sordid beginnings of this podcast grew out of a conversation we had back in 2018 while riding in a van full of smelly cyclists on our way back from an event. We realized that, aside from social media, we lacked a decent creative space to discuss all things related to New England cycling, local cycling history, and silly bike racing stories. So, we decided to get a microphone, downloaded some software, and spent some time recording ourselves talking about that one thing we can't live without: bicycle racing. We're Jeremy, Jed, and Kieran - Welcome to the Marginal Groans, A Cycling Podcast!

Like Danny DeVito in Twins, this is the leftover conversation from the Groan-ocalypse, but a little drunker. Hey, it's only 26 minutes long and we know you have 26 minutes to spare.
Part 2 of our return to talking into microphones is here. We continue where we left off in Groan-ocalupse Now: Part One...
We're baaaaack! Hey, we've been asleep since the fall of 2019, did anything good happen?

Jeremy and Jed got their act together and recorded another episode. Tune in for your latest dose of high-grade groaning about nerdy masters racing, our field-trip to an awesome/awkward Zwift event in NYC, and some epically irrelevant Muppet-theater. Because... NERDS. May the FOURTH be with you.
Cycling maniac and all-round wonderful person Jonathan Lowenstein joins us with John Harris to talk about the upcoming Chris Hinds Crit, as well as the appropriate wardrobe for conducting a Skype interview and (even) more weird shit cyclists do. After the break, stick around for Harris's tips to young competitors on how to stay awesome on a budget (hint: consider developing an innovative coaching program and sharing office space with a dental professional).Sponsored by REAL ENERGY BARSIf you're interested in supporting the show, please consider becoming a backer on Patreon. What does bike racing in Belgium, county fair lawn mower races, bad steak, and Dutch racers with attitude have in common? Your guess is as good as ours, but listening to our chat with Connecticut native and current pro cyclist John Harris will get you one step closer to finding out.Sponsored by REAL ENERGY BARSIf you're interested in supporting the show, please consider becoming a backer on Patreon. Jeremy and Jed get rolling on their first attempt at a podcast. The free-wheeling conversation wiggles around masters racing, annoying things cyclists do, and New England cycling events. Also, port-o-potty etiquette.
