I know this is an old episode but wow was it so monumentally unhelpful. the interviewee provided no helpful insight whatsoever and even seemed genuinely annoyed by the idea of upcoming artists asking for advice. she says, dont go into the gallery looking to ask for help instead email them out of the blue...but its a good idea to get to know the gallery and the curator by joining and interacting. what? who's going to do that and not share that they're also an artist? smh.
