I'm so glad you guys brought up the yearly exam while discussing the menstrual cup. 👋🏻 Horrible experience here, at 17, one of my first exams ever... they still used the stainless steel speculum. The doctor couldn't get it to close so she had to pull it out of me while it was still wide open. I was in pain for DAYS. I literally purchased a menstrual cup because of Sam and now I'm scared to use it, so you're not alone Alyssa 🤣 I did try it yesterday and it's getting easier, I have a hard time really getting it in there. Like, idk how much of the stem should be sticking out??

Freedom of movement in the EU meant you can live and work freely across all EU member countries, but you still need your passport to travel. It also means we are a part of larger EU trade deals. The UK used to be made up of the whole of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. Southern Ireland wanted independence from the Uk, whereas a portion of the north wanted to remain so they did. This was due to religious differences between Catholics and Protestants. You should look up the Troubles for more about that. so now there is Northern Ireland which is part of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. They are a republic because they also came out from under rule of the British royal family. The UK is a toxic shit pile so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Scottish republic independent from Westminster (UK government), in the EU to keep us a progressive diverse country (which Scotland already is moreso than England). We have our knuckle draggers as well but definitely a small percentage. love a
So I'm driving to Florida for summer vacation with my fiance whom I've been with for 10 years. the same guy I actually met while in rehab for opiate addiction in 2009. He's sleeping next to me while I drive. listening to this episode has brought back so many memories of my former life as an addict. It's funny because I didnt know Matt was a recovering addict until today but I had always suspected he had a history of addiction. I commend him for opening up on the podcast and subjecting himself to criticism from ignorant listeners and others in recovery that will surely pick apart everything he says. I love hearing others stories of recovery and in his case success and overcoming the odds. Well done Matt. And look at you now! Smoking hot wife, a successful business and tons more. nothing but love for you guys!
Listening to this on a heating pad in August with the air conditioner on me. I have 6 chronic pain conditions all related to my back. Treatment with chiropractors, my joints literally lock up and need to be unlocked, massage therapy and meds get so expensive, people really don't understand what a drain chronic pain is on your life, energy, relationships and finances.
With every podcast you guys put out, this turns into my favorite podcast!
also, I am so glad you guys are talking about this because as I sit in this bath, in the dark trying to rid a headache, I often feel like I also need to downplay how I feel. Mostly because my diet ain't right so it makes me feel like I don't get the right to express how much pain I'm in since its my fault my diet is all over the place and I don't drink enough water.

When she talked about her night time routine and compulsions...wow. I thought I was the only one. I do most of those same things. recheck under the bed or closets if I leave the room, check door locks multiple times, get up and turn the light on to recheck the room. and then the same with the contamination bit. everything is contaminated, I deep clean my house 4 days a week. i panic if a patient breathes on me, I feel anxious until I go wash my hands or drink something to "get rid of the breath". it's so exhausting. I thought everyone did these things.. thank you for talking about this.
