Kelly and Shelby along with their husbands are parenting children with special needs. Throughout their 10 plus years of parenting a special needs child, they've felt isolated with no where to turn. Along this journey they have searched for encouragement, support and knowledge while usually ending up at a dead end. But they know they aren't special and they are not alone. Hundreds of thousands of parents are facing the same exact challenges with little to no outside support. This is their imperfect journey and story told along side other parents with their own imperfect journeys. Together they hope to help each other and encourage this small community and make this task seem less daunting. Join them as they tackle the hard stuff, the beautiful moments and the unknown future.

Kelly and Angela are best friends. Kelly has three younger children, one that has special needs. Angela has three older children that are all neuro-typical. There's so much that goes into being a parent of a child with special needs, but how does is affect the friendships that have very different family lives. Listen to how it's worked for them!
Molly is a Special Education professional. She's been a special education teacher, case worker and now behavioral specialist. She's got a wealth of knowledge when it comes in helping children succeed in the classroom and helping parents bridge the gap between traditional and special education structures. Kristi and her husband Nate have 4 beautiful children. And seriously guys, they are gorgeous. All 4 of their children were adopted and they all have brought so much love and completeness, but it's also brought many sleepless nights and fear of the future. Some of their kids have struggled with reactive attachment disorder, debilitating mood issues and they've seen multiple hospitalizations for mental issues. Special needs parenting is a spectrum and the Dorcheus family has been in a journey with it.
June Stedman has been a mentor to many woman. She has adopted 4 children through the foster care system with special needs. June’s journey inspired us in our parenting journey & she will inspire you.

Shelby Olivier met her husband in Minnesota but was born & raised in the Montana, Flathead Valley. Married for 16 years, they have three crazy kids that they love fiercely. In this podcast we learn about her special needs son Eli and how it has affected her and her family.
