In association with the Scottish Stammering Network.-----The idea of the podcast is simple: get some good people around a table every month, some of whom happen to have a stammer, and chat nonsense. We raise current news topics and link them to something we ACTUALLY want to talk about, using the words ‘oh and on that note’.----- The main aim of the podcast is that it's a good laugh!! -----In a country with over half a million people who have a stammer, you would be forgiven for thinking that it's a very rare phenomenon. Welcome to Episode 10 of 'Oh and On That Note', brought to you in association with the Scottish Stammering Network. This is the podcast in which 3 or 4 folk get round a table (OK in this case a virtual table), and shoot the breeze about whatever has been on ther minds recently. Our USP is that some or all of those people may be living with a stammering issue -you're not going to hear that elsewhere any time soon. In this, our second lockdown special, Brendan Marshall joins us from Toronto to muse on our tendency to live on autopilot, while old favourites Christina Parker, Kris Blak and John McIntosh join him to confess to shameful childhood behaviours, reflect on getting big luggage onto planes, and learn how to waste their time more effectively. Some of the panel members each month happen to have a stammer - some do not. We think that difference should be embraced, and this is a platform for people who stammer to be heard talking about stuff (all sorts of stuff!). The focus is on what's being said, not how it is being said - hopefully what's being said is at least a little bit interesting!
