ROMANS 12:17-21 17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. 19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. 20 Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” 21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. 1.) PRAY 2.) TALK IT OUT (PLEASE STOP, THIS IS HOW IT MAKES ME FEEL) 3.) SELF DEFENSE MATTHEW 18:15-17 15 If a brother sins against you, go to him privately and confront him with his fault. If he listens and confesses it, you have won back a brother. 16 But if not, then take one or two others with you and go back to him again, proving everything you say by these witnesses. 17 If he still refuses to listen, then take your case to the church, and if the church’s verdict favors you, but he won’t accept it, then the church should excommunicate him
Control To Influence

Control To Influence

2024-03-2126:43

As parents, we start off controlling every aspect of our child's life. We discuss practical ways to release control and begin to influence and when that right time is. Psalms 14:2-3 NLT // Romans 3:1-12”The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one!“
”Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬Whose kingdom are you attempting to build? Your own? Your child's? God's Kingdom?
Julie Pratt is the Kidmin Director of Discipleship of the Assemblies of God. She shares her wisdom and experience on how to disciple our children at home.

20 You children must always obey your fathers and mothers, for that pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, don’t scold your children so much that they become discouraged and quit trying. (Colossians 3:20-21 TLB)1 Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord,[a] for this is the right thing to do. 2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”[b]4 Fathers,[c] do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord. (Ephesians 6:1-4 NLT)Don’t discipline because of anger, discipline to teach and restore the relationship

Rick and Theresa Senk share their experience raising their kids and the very real battle for their kids' soul that took place once sports entered the picture.
Letting go is difficult. It's an art, not a science. We teach our kids now to let them go. (Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:6-9).We as parents hold on tightly because we want to be in control instead of trusting God to lead our kids.
Shaping Generous Kids

Shaping Generous Kids

2021-12-0327:33

Being generous is believing there’s always enough to share, no matter how much you have.1.) Everything we have has come from God2.) Share your family's blessings and needs3.) Model It4.) Find ways for them to serve at home5.) Pray for a generous heart
Galatians 5:16-23 16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
As parents, we’re trying to set our kids up for success while also enjoying their day to day. In this episode, we'll share the importance of praying for your child's heart and some specific ways to pray. Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Jeremiah 17:9-10 “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” 1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1.) God Centered Routine Build your schedule around God 2.) 2 Goals For Your Child 3.) Ask Specific, Open Ended Questions 4.) Have a Family Fun Day/Night Eat at the table as a family 5.) Be Aware Of What Your Kids Are Doing With Tech
Punishment is payback. Discipline should fix the broken relationship.
We all want a Godly family that likes each other - even after our kids are grown and out of the house. So how do we create that in real life? Two things we as parents can do to create a Godly home - model our faith and talk about Jesus often.
