Does your household include a hypersensitive child? Much of the time, we don’t need a diagnosis to know our children are experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral issues.  These issues can take many forms, but it is important to approach the situation in problem-solving mode rather than problem-focused mode. We as parents should take the time to find the reason behind the behavior while validating our child’s feelings and determining our response. As difficult as it may be, we need to learn to not take their behavior personally and understand they have an unmet need. Because they ARE normal! We don’t want to let our kids feel isolated just because their feelings are sometimes stronger than others.
