Description

Welcome to the Unveiled podcast, friends! The Unveiled podcast is an extension of Unveiled Ministries, which also includes a blog and bible studies. This ministry was founded on Philippians 1:6 and is a safe space where we uncover the work of art Christ has started in each of us. All the content of this ministry focuses on cultivating emotional health and spirituality. We’ve grown up in a culture that glorifies self, but not authentic self-care: the kind that only comes from a relationship with Jesus. So, let's unpack what it looks like to serve a God who cares about our entire well-being. Connect with the host, Jordyn Imari on Instagram @jordynimari

What does it look like to be a peacemaker? Take a moment to picture Jesus on the cross. We were sinners in conflict with God. We deserved death. However, Jesus took it upon himself to become sin in order to make peace and reconcile us back to God.  He stood in our place. He took the blame for us. And his name was certainly not cleared, because they put Him to death. Listen to this powerful episode where our host, Jordyn Imari, talks about what it means for us to be a peacemaker; and when we can't necessarily make peace, how to humble ourselves and allow God to fight our battles. Because He 's a God who fights for us. But He can't fight for us if we're always standing in the way trying to throw the first punch.Tune in!Scripture referencesMatthew 5:9 (Beatitude)Romans 12:18 (living at peace as much as possible)Connect with @jordynimari on Instagram! So, about this heart of mine––can it be bad?In today's episode, our host, Jordyn Imari is diving into part 6 of this series. She's discussing what the Bible says about our hearts. The Lord is concerned with our hearts as opposed to our outside appearance because the heart is where our innermost desires, thoughts, sense of calling and purpose, our understanding, and character reside. In essence, who you are, what you think, what you say, how you act, flows from the heart.Let's get into one of the most loving, yet broken parts of ourselves.Scripture references:Beatitude: Matthew 5:8Guarding your heart: Proverbs 4:23Inside vs. Outside appearance: 1 Samuel 16:7Jesus rebukes Pharisees: Matthew 23David's prayer of repentance: Psalm 51Connect with @jordynimari on Instagram! Mercy is a heart posture. And it only comes from a heart that has felt spiritual emptiness. This merciful heart has grieved its sin and has learned to wait meekly for the timing of the Lord, and it has learned to cry out in hunger for God’s righteousness. Are you struggling with seeing others as more than their mistakes? Are you someone who struggles with showing compassion? Are you mistakingly living in "deservedness"? Episode scripture references:Matthew 5:7 (Beatitude)Titus 3:5 (God's mercy)Luke 10:25-37 (The Good Samaritan)Connect with Jordyn Imari on Instagram! @jordynimari
