Nick Saban's gamble on Daunte Culpepper backfires, and his team struggles mightily. As his tenure with the Dolphins begins to unravel, and Mike Shula is let go in Tuscaloosa, the man and the program are now on a collision course. The media is out in full force to cover the story, but getting them together isn't going to be easy, and there will be lots of crushed dreams and hurt feelings along the way. 
As the 2005 season ends, the Dolphins scour the free agent and trade markets for a long-term solution for a quarterback. Based on the hype they've been getting, all they need to make waves in the AFC playoffs is some solid play under center. But as they'll soon find out, it's a lot more complicated than that.
