At the tender age of 8 when he witnessed a bus bomb explode on the bus he had just descended from, Eli decided he had to do better at saving lives. Incredibly at the age of 15 he started Hatzola. That soon became United Hatzola because there isn’t a village, town or demographic in Israel that isn’t represented within Hatzola. They are in the business of saving lives… within 90 seconds. Eli’s miraculous life has continued with him contracting Covid and surviving after 4 weeks in a coma. Whilst he is not at full capacity just yet, he still found time to give us an interview and if this isn’t full capacity we don’t know what is! Eli’s story is incredible- a worthwhile finale to the Jams radio term! Enjoy!

Born and raised in Petach Tikva, Nadav currently makes his home in Jerusalem. Nadav became increasingly active in LGBT communities, both religious and secular. He began hosting events for gay men in his home. These events, which he still hosts, became increasingly popular and are now attended by men from all over the country. Nadav soon joined the board of Havruta as Vice Chairman. Havruta promotes the message of out and proud to the religious community. As part of his role in the organization, Nadav put together a guerrilla campaign at a conference focusing on "curing” gays, and a competition for photos and illustrations representing the Religious LGBT community. He organizes meetings with the media influencers in order to generate a more positive presentation of religious homosexuality in the religious media. He also co-leads a support group for people who are still in the closet and is a member of Ma'agalim, which works to bring various LBGTQ groups together through meetings and activities. In addition, Nadav volunteers with Hoshen, Shoval, and Shira – outreach organizations that visit schools and communities to share personal stories and answer questions. He often speaks at a variety of parent support groups, Rabbis and on TV shows . attending and organizing programs bringing together members of the LGBTQ Jewish community from all over the world, Nadav organized an evening for religious LGBT groups. A huge success, the event brought over 160 members of the community together for the first time ever, and included family members, supporters, and youth. He has the Largest LGBT Hebrew book collection

Nihal Arthanayake or DJ Nihal is a DJ and Radio Presenter on Radio 5 Live. Nihal Arthanayake is an acclaimed broadcaster and TV presenter. Nihal has garnered fantastic reviews as host of Radio 5 Live’s Afternoon show – Nihal Arthanayake, Asian Network’s Big Debate (on Fridays), and the daily Headliners podcast.
