Story Time at the Roo Bus

The legend JB joins us this week as he's in town for the HSV Expo, we take the hour to talk about him getting to meet his childhood hero Steve from Blue's Clues, getting Roo fit, and finding some of the right camping supplies.  We also take the second half of the show to talk about all of our "small font" bands for each day of Roo!

The Centeroo schedule has dropped earlier than ever, Brooklin, Sharla and Daniel are here to pour through it.  From the heartbreaking conflicts to 6+ hours of Pretty Lights, we've opened a bottle of sangria and are here to dive in.

Sharla and Daniel are back in Murica this week and have a lot of catching up to do with a lot of news and tea that happened while we were on vacation.  From the Outeroo lineup, to the new Huntsville event, and much more, we have a lot of Roo related tea to go over!

Your regular hosts are out of the country this week, so Matty Chap steps in with a fabulous panel from the Groop Area to talk everything happening there at Roo this year!  Thanks so much to the entire crew for stepping in for our first entirely-guest hosted episode of the podcast!

Our good buddy Eric is back this week bringing along one of our most popular episodes ever: His Bonnaroo Game Show!  He surveyed around 60 Roovians for this fun Family Feud style game show that had a ton of surprising and hilarious survey results.  Sharla, Daniel and JB play along and it got pretty spicy!

We take a detour this week to take a look back at one of our favorite movies that shares so much in common with our favorite festival!  We welcome in writer, podcaster and film critic Devindra Hardawar of the awesome Filmcast podcast to help us take a look back at Almost Famous, the 2000 Cameron Crow film that captures so much so perfectly about the live music community.   Sharla and Daniel also take a bit to talk about the NYC TOTEM meetup as well as the Roo 2024 Late Night lineup!

The One and Two Day Tickets for Roo 2024 have cause a lot of buzz and spirited discussion this past week.  Sharla and Daniel did a lot of talking with some of the movers and shakers this week to figure out what's going on and what it might mean for the Roo community.  Also as a reminder, we have to refer to two-day ticket holders as Halflings now. 

Brooklin, Sharla, Chloe, Skyler and Chelsea all get together for this years edition of Ladies Night on the podcast!  We talk about the one and two day tickets and get that elephant out of the room but also talk women representation on the lineup and much more.

With another Bonnaroo on the horizon, we take a look back at what did and what didn't work last year in 2023.  Roo has been drastically improving and is better than ever as of late, but there's still a few tweaks the community thinks they could make for the better.  Chelsea the Hygiene Queen herself is here with Sharla and Daniel this week to talk through some of those points and much more!

Sharla is out with a cold this week so the amazing and wonderful Chloe steps in to co-host!  We talk with a panel about our hopes and dreams for the lineup with one week to go, and we also talk about our feeling about the four headliners that the Reddit confirmation thread believes we will see on the poster.  Just one more week to go until lineup drop, Happy Roo!
