Hi, I'm Frieda and on the 2nd of October I am leaving for a seven-week journey to sail across the Atlantic with a team of 35 people. We are leaving from the Netherlands and are setting our sails for climate solutions to go to the UN Climate Conference in Chile. I am lucky to be on-board with 35 inspiring souls who are all invested and motivated to act on the climate challenge and it is my mission to share with you their voices, to allow you to join along our journey and to help you navigate the climate challenge yourself. Reverse
Two weeks into our trip and I am chatting with Natalie, 27, who - not very long ago - was working in marketing and eventually found her way into the climate movement. We chat about her journey of transformation, the steps and reasons which led her to now live differently and her path of moving from the 9 to 5 of an office to now working in a think-tank on board, living on a ship 24/7. Welcome on board for the first episode! Four days ago I embarked on the once-of-a-lifetime journey of sailing across the Atlantic to go to the COP25 UN Climate Conference. For the very beginning I am ship-chatting with Lena about ‘Sail to the COP’, the project which I am joining to sail to Chile and which she founded with three friends one year ago. We chat about her reasons to initiate this endeavour and her motivations of being part of a greater global movement.
