We're doing another series and that compares and contrasts original movies and their remakes. Last week we watched the 2005 film, Dark Water that was actually an American remake of the 2002 Japanese horror film of the same name. This week we watch the original 2002 Dark Water that was directed by Hideo Nakata and written by Yoshihiro Nakamura and stars Hitomi Kuroki, Rio Kanno, and Mirei Oguchi. Synopsis: A mother and her 6-year-old daughter move into a creepy apartment whose every surface is permeated by water.
