The topic of marriage and healthy relationships is one that comes up often with my coaching clients. For many people, love relationships are an integral part of building a life by design. That said, I'm very excited to kick off this series on healthy, authentic, and vibrant relationships with my wife, Jolie. We're coming up on our 25th anniversary and almost 30 years of being a couple, and although we're no "experts" on relationships we've learned a lot along the way. The freedom and even the requirement to be authentic is at the core of our relationship along with alignment in our values and vision for our life. We'd love to know what topics you'd be interested in us touching on in this series. Drop me a line at chris@chrisyonker.com
Welcome back to our series on healthy relationships. In this episode, Jolie and I talk about building (or repairing) the foundations of a fulfilling relationship. One that can be sustained even through the inevitable moments of tension and conflict that happen in every relationship. There have been moments in our almost 30 years together when our individual, personal development or professional trajectories were not aligned. We'll share why we value being in relationship, some of the big leaps and scary moments of our life together, and how we navigated them. We'll also give you the three key ingredients that you MUST possess within yourself in order to build a relationship free of dysfunction and why it is that many people attract dysfunctional people and relationships into their lives. At the end of the episode we'll give you an exercise you can do whether currently in a relationship or desiring to be in one. This exercise will help to strengthen your current relationship or start you on the path to attracting your ideal partner. As always, we'd love to hear from you with comments or questions. In this episode Chris Yonker talks with Avid Kline in Florence, Italy about the opportunities available to us during crisis and the mindset needed to step outside the blind spots keeping those opportunities hidden from us.
In this episode, Justin and Chris discuss the importance of alignment in your personal and professional visions. Justin shares the moment he realized that his business vision was not in line with the time he wanted to spend with his family, and the moments with his kids that were most important to him. He went on to build a business model of flexibility while still earning the income he desired. We often look at our personal and professional lives through an either/or lense rather than realizing that we can have both professional fulfillment and personal fulfillment, millennials really being the first generation to base their professional career around what they want their personal life to look like. This could be life experiences, romantic relationships, parenting, social life, impact etc. It all begins with what you're looking to create and actually believing that it is possible. When creating a vision, it's not about figuring out HOW initially, but getting clear on what we want and why we want it.
How do you break the revenue ceiling? If you’re out there listening and stuck at the same revenue you have been year after year, whether that’s 5MIL, 100MIL or more, there are a couple areas you need to look at. In this episode, I talk with Justin Van Epps on what exactly those areas are.First, understand why you are stuck. Is it a function of the market? How you’re engaging with customers or prospects? Do you have the right people in the right seats?Next, what can you do about it? You don’t know what you don’t know. For small and large companies, sometimes the answer is that they could actually grow through acquisition. We talk about the pros of acquisition and how to make sure you’re doing it right, for the right reasons, and how to mitigate risk so that you don’t make a BAD acquisition. You CAN break the revenue ceiling by taking a closer look at the real reasons why you’re stuck.
