Description

My name is Dr. Chris Milkie. I've run a small medical business for 28 years as well as coached small medical practice owners. I've always been fascinated with the people and stories behind the small businesses that are the heart and soul of every town. I started the podcast to help get these small businesses more exposure to the community. My goal is to inspire other small business owners who might be struggling or people who need the inspiration to courageously start their own business. My guests will be local small business owners who want to share their story.

Owner John Bauer has been coaching golf for 18 years. In that time, he has helped thousands of golfers play their best. John’s dream has always been to have his own practice facility – a place where all golfers can work on all aspects of their games. The Practice Station will offer a traditional driving range, but it will be so much more. It will be a facility that provides practice in real life situations, which will build confidence that will carry over to the course. The old “holes” will be divided into “stations”. These stations will be set up to simulate any situation that will be encountered during a round of golf. Better practice will result in better play!
Chris and Pat have been making their salsa for the last 8+ years for themselves and for family and friends. When Chris brought some salsa to work to hand out as holiday gifts, the feedback was incredibly kind and people offered to pay for more moving forward. With a small number of people ordering from them at this point, a market started to form and people were starting to become "regulars." In the beginning, family and friends that purchased the salsa, brought the first year totals to 1,000+ jars and it pushed their family to consider this as something that could be bigger than just a hobby.
