The fitness media often peddle extremes; whether that's that a vegan diet is the only way to lose weight, or that the only way to gain muscle is by working in the 8-12 rep range. There's often a hidden agenda when people promote these extreme methods, and 9 times out of 10, they're not the optimal approach for most of the population. In this podcast, I look at some of the prevalent false dichotomies in the fitness world and explain why the middle ground is often where you'll find the optimal approach to weight loss or building muscle.
The Game Changers is a Netflix Documentary about Vegan athletes. It charts the progress and success of various different athletes across a range of sports, each one of them excelling at what they do.  Does this mean you should become vegan too? It is really better than a diet that includes meat? I break down the claims made in the documentary about sports performance and health when it comes to vegan diets and tell you if it's the right path for the average person.
To lose weight, you HAVE to create a calorie deficit (burn more calories than you eat) over a period of time. There’s no two ways about it. This is true whether you chose to count calories or not. While calorie counting offers, in my opinion, the most efficient method for ensuring you’re sticking to a deficit, you don’t need to do it to lose weight. In this episode I'll give you 8 tactics you can start using right now to help you lose weight without counting calories.
