Hi friends! On today's episode you are going to meet Margie who talks with us so vulnerably about the death of her son, John. Margaret Thompson began her career in New York City at MTV. She married and left to raise her two boys, Tim and John, ultimately finding the calling of her life, teaching. Finding Color in the Darkness is a memoir dedicated to her son, John Fish. It is also the story of her search to find hope and purpose in the aftermath of John’s death by suicide. Her goal is twofold: to help those who suffer with severe depression and thoughts of suicide by validating their pain as a medical condition and, to offer guidance to both those who have lost a loved one to suicide, or to parents of those who may be a suicide risk.Margie can be found on IG @findingcolorinthedarknessAs always, please follow Stay Alive Inc. @abrandforthebroken on IG and at our website stayaliveinc.orgJOIN our digital online community: https://www.stayaliveinc.org/pages/join-our-digital-community You can also find Sara on Instagram @saraswellnessway and schedule with her through her Holistic Health and Wellness coaching at https://www.thewellnesswayllc.com/ Please utilize your national mental health resources if you are in need: National Prevention Suicide Lifeline - 1-800-273-8255 The Crisis Text Line - text HOME to 741741National Drug/Substance Abuse Hotline - 1-844-289-0879
