We're back with another episode of Finding Freedom! With this virus on the loose, it is imperative that we distance ourselves as much as possible so we're not helping to spread it to our communities. That means we have to start working from home and for a lot of people, that's not a skill they've needed to hone over the years. It's going to take time to get it right and effort to be successful at it.I found a list from Hubspot a while back that actually does a great job of giving real-world advice by successful people working from home. So let's go through the list and figure out what they're doing and why it's important to do these things.Link to article:https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/productivity-tips-working-from-home
Today is going to be a little different than the past episodes. While the goal of this podcast was to help people understand active and passive income while showcasing those who're already making money online and finding freedom in their own lives, I felt I needed to showcase someone who quit a great job making near six figures to working from home and struggling to make $20k a year. That person is me. Now most people would think that's ludicrous, and they're not wrong, but for me, it wasn't about the money, it was about being able to spend more time with my son and getting to do the things I loved. So in this episode, we're going to go over how I got started, what I did for work, the motivation for AIR, and what's next for me.
When you want to travel, meet clients in different countries, or just have the freedom to do the things you want to do when you want to do it, you need to build a digital business.Marisa Cali for All The Social has taken her skills in digital marketing and brought that into the social media world.Marisa and I talk about how she got started, how she's grown, and what she has seen as a result of building a digital business.Make sure you check out Marisa's podcast Business AF, go say "hi" on LinkedIn and check out her website allthesocial.com where she has a handout for you to download!
Welcome back to another episode of Finding Freedom. I'm Lee and today we head back across the pond to speak with Nikkie Jay a copywriter from the UK.Now Nikkie didn't start out in the traditional sense in her profession, in fact she kind of fell into it. But she didn't stop with the one, she started doing it more and more until it became a business and it's allowed her the ability to work from the comforts of her own home. You know, one of the things I love about our conversation is that Nikkie isn't scared to venture out and learn new things. She explores areas she has no clue about in order to grow herself and her business. In this podcast we talk about how she got started, why she continued, how she gets clients, and also what social platforms is she having the greatest success with. So, have a listen and let her know if you need anything done yourself or want to get into that line of work.Check out Nikkie's Website at http://nikkiejay.co.uk
Michael Short of WaaS-Pro has built a business around websites as a service, meaning quick websites for business professionals very similar to our own AIR: Website Platform, but Michael has taken that a step further.Michael started building pieces of software that helped expand his site's capabilities and has since turned that into a business. One of the ways he was able to do this was by focusing on the needs of his own business rather than attempting to fill a void in the marketplace. And as it turns out, others needed these services as well, including yours truly. So I got a chance to sit down with Michael, talk shop so to speak, understand where he came from, what he's doing now and figuring out where WaaS-Pro goes from here.
Welcome back to another episode of Finding Freedom! I'm your host, Lee Mosler and today we're going to continue with last week's podcast with a comedian turned internet millionaire, Tom Antion from the Screw the Commute Podcast.Tom and I start by finishing our conversation about eBay, how to grow that business, and even getting a mentor. Then we move into building a value ladder. We go over what it is and what the next step could look like.Tom and I spend a lot of time on this topic because it is a very important piece to have in any business. You want your customers and clients to keep coming back and if you have a value ladder, this gives them the reason to do so. We even discuss how to start on a shoestring budget by turning your hobbies into a tax-deductible business. This episode is jam packed with information that you could start implementing today and building your business from scratch. This episode even made me go through my current business model with An Imagined Reality and fine tune elements of my business. Here's the conclusion of my talk with Tom Antion from Screw the Commute. Make sure when you're done to head over to screwthecommute.com, like, and subscribe to his podcast.
Welcome back to another episode of Finding Freedom! I'm your host, Lee Mosler and today I'm thrilled to bring you a two-part episode with a comedian turned internet millionaire, Tom Antion from the Screw the Commute Podcast.I've long believed that it's not freedom if you're spending 80% of your life on a job and I know Tom feels the same way. Tom has never had a traditional job but has used his ability as a comedian, and knowledge of people, to make millions of dollars online for the past 23 years.I was first introduced to Tom while in Washington D.C. at the Military Influencer Conference. And instead of coming off full of himself, Tom was one of the most laid back people there. He was simply there to help those looking for guidance. While he could have been there pushing his products and services like most others were, he was there to serve Veterans as best he could. Tom and I have kept in touch since then and when I started putting together this podcast, he was more than happy to lend his expertise to an industry he's been in while most of us were too young to even give a crap.Tom and I talk about how to share your knowledge to get started while keeping your startup costs low. We also talk about the number one skill when starting out and the fanaticism you need if you want to be great. And, it doesn't stop there. We continue to have a conversation about ways to make your hobbies tax deductible and even how a physical business can help create income while not actively working. So sit back and have a listen, laugh with us, and take some notes as Tom freely gives his knowledge. Here's my talk with Tom from the Screw the Commute podcast.
For years I've been helping startups and established businesses alike turn their ideas into something real.Whether it was a new website, a redesign, or even helping implement new processes, I've been lucky enough to help others achieve the level of freedom they were looking for.Though, that's not to say I didn't make mistakes along the way. I made several and we'll talk about them in a later episode. And with any journey, there will be successes and there will be setbacks. My guest today knows that all too well.Stephen Colon runs Knucklehead Media Group and with their flagship show, Knucklehead Podcast, he speaks to people from all over as they tell their stories about the knucklehead mistakes they made and how they used that to create success.Listen as I talk with Stephen about his company and how he got there. Why he does it and have a laugh as we deal with some pet issues in the process. Here's my interview with Stephen Colon of Knucklehead.
Welcome back to Finding Freedom. In this episode, I speak to former marine turned lead generation specialist Brandon Wong of Faucet Marketing.Brandon got out of the marines to find that he didn't want to follow the same rules as everyone else. So he decided to take a different approach and started investing and selling realty. After a bad day with a plumber, Brandon figured it wasn't for him and decided to go a different route. Now Brandon still uses his background as a realtor but his job is to generate leads instead of selling them and in the process, help make them more successful. We started talking and I soon found out, we weren't being recorded, so we enter this conversation after a little technical difficulties but we were able to come back full circle. Here's my conversation with Brandon Wong of Faucet Marketing.
Well, here we are, episode 1, of the Finding Freedom podcast. With 2020 here, we not only have a new year to mold but we also have a new decade to take control of.I wanted to start out this podcast with someone from a growing industry that took something he loved and started finding ways to monetize it. Fergus has only recently started turning his passion of connecting podcasters and guests into a business but has already started seeing success in this endeavor.
