In Her Own Words Hello, My name is Kanu Masenda-Jacobsen. I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Thank you, Ruchi Garg Kalra, for your generous nomination for #PersonBehindThePassion! To me, you are an amazing woman. I am grateful we are connected, and I appreciate this great honor. The passions I am currently pursuing in my life are being a host and producer for two podcasts, "Real Love Real Stories” and “Loved & Lost.” Also, with my extensive background in counseling, I am pursuing being a “Love Guru/ Possibility Champion.” I truly feel like I found my passion, turned it into purpose, and now it is my profession. The impact I intend to make in the world as a Love Guru is to spread love like confetti and to help the terminally single women who are longing for love to find it. I am fully dedicating myself to this work. I am happy to announce that I have also created a game-changing course to help my clients attract love. I am using podcasting as a way to share stories about grief and loss to help heal from losing loved ones. I consider myself to be the kind of person who is agile and can adapt to the status quo quickly. This has proven to be so true since Covid-19 hit us. My friends have also described me to be a great listener, loyal, dependable, caring, fun, and trustworthy. The way my life has turned out has forced me to do what I am doing now. I was frustrated by being single and didn’t understand why I wasn’t finding love. I started "Real Love Real Stories" to keep hope alive. Hearing couples share their love stories is just what the world needs. For “Love & Lost” … I lost eight significant people in my life in 2.5 years. I mean, it was like before the tears dried for one person, I was crying again. I needed an outlet.
