Okay it HAS been a long time since we have been on anchor, and that is 100% Tim's fault, but 2D Trash Cast has still been going on Twitch, so check us out on there!  With that being said, HELLO AND WELCOME BACK TO SOME GOOD OLE FASHION 2D TRASH CAST BAYBEE! Now equipped with sound FX sometimes. In this episode Nick and Travis were able to finally do the thing they've been talking about since 2020 and that is travel across the Pacific pond to Japan! They talk about the cool stuff, the bad stuff, and the awkward stuff. Starting 2023 with a clean slate and so with that we hope you enjoy this episode!  NOTE: Due to the nature of these episodes coming through stream. Some things may not make sense on audio. Don't think that's the case here, but putting it out there in the event you start scratching your head :)
The homefries discuss just how ridiculous manga author's schedules can get, as well as how "meh" alot of anime games can be. Travis also mentions that in certain places a dog can be an ordained minister. Shield Hero might be mad boring (It was up to episode 3 when this was recorded), and there is a discussion about the pros and cons of playing the "waiting game" in romance/harem anime. All this and more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
The boyos discuss game companies that try to reinvent the wheel too often, as well as the issues that come with cloud gaming and yearly sports game releases. There are also talks about how equipment gachas can be the bane of a mobile gamer's existence. On the anime side of things, Travis and Tim spitball a bit about Aoashi while Nick and Tim discuss Summertime rendering. All this and more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
Nick and Travis try and figure out why Tim hates Umaru so much. Will Tomodachi Game get slept on? Will Travis ever find passion for anything? IS CARBONATED MILK THE END ALL BE ALL OF ALL BEVERAGES?! Find out on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
To boyos discuss their lament over purchasing merch that they may or may not have room for. There are additional discussions about how wild some roller coasters are and how people just don't DIE on the rides. Tim also tries to sell to you, the viewer, on a manga series called "Sousou No Freiren". That and placing monopoly money bets on whether or not Japan will be the first country to completely colonize mars. All this and more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
Nick and Travis discuss their experience of seeing Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in theaters while griping about anime films not really getting much air time in a lot of areas in the States. There are also talks about Halo Infinite's current status and issues with AAA games not meeting many players' expectations. All this and more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
In this final episode in a trilogy talking mostly about Elden Ring, the boyos discuss just how large the game really is (in hindsight, none of them had discovered anything north of Liurnia. The game is massive). There are also talks about how much Ash kind of sucks as a Pokemon trainer, as well as figuring out the next shounen poster child for future generations to come. All this and more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
NOTE: This was recorded while Elden Ring was still hot off the press.  The homies mainly discuss Elden Ring this week; Talking about and sort of in awe on how much depth there is to this game's content.... with some possible gripes here and there. Near the end there are discussions regarding FuniRoll season 2. All this and more in this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
NOTE: Recorded a week after Elden Ring had dropped. Tim is still VERY far behind (He's still VERY sorry). Discussions take place on the polarizing opinions on whether or not Elden Ring is too damn hard for casual gamers (and in general). There are also conversations about Hero Academia and Boruto's recent writing (at the time), Tim brings up Orbital Children and it finished out with the extremes of parasocial relationships still continuing to ruin people's fun. All this and more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
NOTE: This episode was recorded over a month ago. Tim is playing catch up (he's sorry).  The boyos hash out how some companies seem to be allergic to free money, as well as talking about how sometimes the internet believes that only studio Mappa exists within the anime sphere. There are also speculations on what Ufotable may do to handle the remaining arcs in Demon Slayer. Will they movies, or will they continue a seasonal anime format? All this and more on this more on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
The homebrooskies go over the results over the CR Anime Awards! It was pretty much how they thought it went, but there were some surprise winners!
On this episode of 2DTC that totally wasn't recorded weeks ago. The boyos decided to talk about how everyone in the English dub acting field may or may not be Johnny Yong Bosch, as well as discussing some of the different experiences of watching certain shows in dubs. They also discuss the Halo live action adaptation might be not as bad as some might think, and also bringing up how the west is starting to adapt more the anime aesthetic over the years
Tim takes a huge L while discussing how insane Demon Slayer's quality has been since he was criticizing it in episode 2. Travis and Tim also discuss the movie Josee, The Tiger and The Fish; More specifically, talking about how the title is actually read in English. Nick and Tim also dish out their thoughts on Microsoft spending a disgusting (but almost n i c e) amount of money on acquiring Activision Blizzard. All this and more on this episode of 2DTC!
The boyos exercise their right to vote while also running themselves ragged over the Crunchyroll Awards. Between deciding over best girl, and also contemplating whether or not certain characters and even certain shows and films belong in their respective categories to begin with, grab a cold glass of egg whites and hang with the crew as they slowly lose their sanity in the voting process!
The goblins decide to switch it up and go for anime trivia night! Tim does his best Jeopardy host impression and puts Nick and Travis through the ringer of myriads of anime questions of some of their most watched shows! Some they get right, some they get wrong, and some the host messes up. All this and then some on this episode of 2D Trash Cast!
Tim decides to choose violence in stating his slight disappointment with Demon Slayer Season 2's overall visuals during its Entertainment District arc, as well as the boyos discussing stupid anime sequel naming conventions, complaining once more about not being able to binge certain Netflix series and Nick still hating Attack on Titan for crashing streaming servers. All this and more on this episode of 2DTC!
Hello and welcome back to 2D Trash Cast! Season 3 of our (self proclaimed) highly esteemed podcast! On this episode the homies kick back and discuss anime in 2021 as a whole. Many series from those they have liked and from those that they thought could have done better are all sprinkled within the episode. There are also talks about what series that you, yes YOU the audience may want to check out in the year of 2022 and beyond. Also there some technical issues at the beginning! So in other words, it's just another day at the office.
Welcome to the first episode of season 2.5 of 2D Trash Cast! In this episode The boyos battle some rust and technical difficulties in the beginning, but it quickly warms up as the entire episode ventures into the world of Korean comics. More specifically, the smut ones. Lots of soaking, porking, fellating and highly probable procreating. This episode is a cookout and the contents are a bit spicy but most importantly, you're invited! So grab a cold milk and some stale cookies for this intermission episode of 2DTC!  [NOTE: Content discussed in here is 18+ so to point out the obvious, if you're not of this age you shouldn't be here, but we're also not your parents.]
On this season 2 finale of 2DTC, The boyos talk about Star Wars Visions, and the definitely totally reasonable criticism it has been getting so far. They also discuss a bit about the recently fresh Cowboy Bebop live action intro sequence, as well as coming to the conclusion that no matter how great your favorite anime series is, it's always going to be super mid.  Thanks for watching us for another season. Whether it was for 5 seconds, 5 minutes or the entire episode, we always will appreciate that you came out during our second run on this podcast! Season 2.5 is underway for at least the fall season and Season 3 will begin in the winter!  Drop by and check us out on twitch! We will be discussing a variety of pop culture topics that may not always regard anime, and also play video games! See you all in the new year!  https://www.twitch.tv/2d_trashcast
Nick allows the Gfuel in his veins to run at max and he gets pretty amped up. The gobbos also discuss the new Cowboy Bebop and One Piece live action details, shows that they may have been missing out on during the summer season, weird anime clothing design choices, picking random days to just become a vegetable and more!
