We're diving into one of my all-time dream jobs: Intimacy Coordination in film, TV and stage. Niki and I adore shows that push boundaries in themes and ideas - but we are 100% against pushing anyone's healthy personal boundaries to get there!I was ecstatic to speak with Ita O'Brien, the woman who pioneered intimacy coordination! Despite being a vital part of the film industry, it's still a relatively new field! Ita has worked on shows such as Sex Education and Normal People. We chat to Ita about the Intimacy on Set guidelines, setting boundaries, and how sometimes if you want something done, you just have to do it yourself.  This podcast is sponsored by Verve Super. Over the pandemic, I came out… again. So we thought we’d dive into one of the biggest culprits for my confusion: Compulsory Heterosexuality. Plus, we had a chance to chat to one of my favourite YouTubers, Alayna Joy!Women’s sexualities are often discussed in terms of, and defined by, our relationships with men. Compulsory heterosexuality is the theory that heterosexuality is assumed and enforced upon women by a patriarchal and heteronormative society. Comp het is reinforced through fairy tales, in movies, in magazine quizzes about 'how to satisfy your man', in the dreams your parents have for you, and every time a stranger at a barbecue asks 'do you have a boyfriend?'
