Vansilli boasts one of the oldest resumes in esports, finding his start in casting way back in the 2000s with CS:GO 1.5. Despite working with many of the other OGs of the esports scene, Vansilli may seem like a new face, really finding his footing concretely with the release of Valorant. It's a unique esports tale - perhaps he had the opportunity to be "at the right place at the right time"  in the early 2010s, but decided instead to take a step back from esports right before CS:GO's big boom and work full-time at a non-esports job for years. How does one make the come-back into esports after such a long hiatus? Doug might seem like one of the freshest faces in esports, but he's actually far from it. While a fresh face to prestigious tournament broadcasting, Doug has been involved in the competitive side of video games since Halo 2. While OG in a sense, Doug's ability to naturally pick up on what makes commentators tick and his gung ho attitude made sure he skyrocketed through the ranks of Valorant commentators.https://twitter.com/esportsdougFind the video version here -https://youtu.be/3Wn4IlE2I7wFollow the Caster Calls Twitter account - https://www.twitter.com/castercallsConsider supporting the podcast on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/zombiegrubCo-produced by Shayne and VladIVThank you to the big supporters on Patreon!NickVinnyStephenETRaviBarrettCuddleBunnySupport the show
Tombizz's career may have started in CS:GO, but Valorant was the game that skyrocketed his popularity. We talk about his eventual decision to move away from GO in favor of Valorant, how he works so well with his co-caster, and I ask him the hard question - how do you become the finalist casters?https://twitter.com/TombizzFind the video version here -https://youtu.be/UiAytOqUhjcFollow the Caster Calls Twitter account - https://www.twitter.com/castercallsConsider supporting the podcast on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/zombiegrubCo-produced by Shayne and VladIVThank you to the big supporters on Patreon!NickVinnyStephenETRaviBarrettCuddleBunnySupport the show
Jorosar started his esports career when esports was transforming the most - the release of SC2 and the development of Twitch, previously known as Justin.tv. Jorosar was and is currently a rare example of a commenator and host that has a full time job but casts the highest level of competition. We talk about some of the golden years in the earlier 2010's and what it takes to balance esports with a full time job.https://twitter.com/JoRoSaRFind the podcast version here -https://zombiegrub.buzzsprout.com/Follow the Caster Calls Twitter account - https://www.twitter.com/castercallsConsider supporting the podcast on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/zombiegrubCo-produced by Shayne and VladIVThank you to the big supporters on Patreon!NickVinnyStephenETRaviBarrettCuddleBunnySupport the show

Medic is one of three play-by-play commentators for the LEC, or the League of Legends European Championship. His climb to the top of the LoL casting scene (and as such, arguably the top of e-sports casting) was relatively fast, having started with Vainglory in 2016 and appearing in the 2017 Spring EU CS shortly after. In this interview he briefly touches on his interesting background as a trained doctor and decision to move into casting, how initially he was rejected from casting LoL, and how he eventually found himself in a position to hone his craft at the top of the e-sports industry.https://twitter.com/MedicCastsFind the video  version here -https://youtu.be/quD_HcTrLZUFollow the Caster Calls Twitter account - https://www.twitter.com/castercallsConsider supporting the podcast on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/zombiegrubThank you to the big supporters on Patreon!NickVinnyStephenETRaviBarrettSupport the show
