A Goal in One Podcast is brought to you by Andy Carter, Chris Bowman and Jamie Woollard. The concept behind this podcast is to bring in Elite level golfers and footballers to talk not only about their careers but also their passions outside of their respective sports. Many footballers in particular are HUGE golf fanatics and, they will watch and play golf where possible so this podcast is a great platform for them to talk about their passions outside of football which you normally wouldn't be subject to in your generic podcasts. The same applies to golfers, who outside of golf are huge football fans. For Example, Rory McIlroy and Matt Wallace are massive Manchester United fans, Justin Rose is a big Chelsea fan and Luke Donald is a Tottenham Hotspurs fan. This introductory podcast explains who WE as hosts are and our relationship to each other and how this podcast came about. Andy Carter a PGA Golf Coach based in Dubai at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the home of the European Tour's Race to Dubai end of season DP World Tour Championship. Andy works with a lot of amateur golfers to help improve their games but outside of golf has a huge passion for football and Manchester United Chris Bowman is a Dubai based Sports Performance Consultant, who runs Elite Training & Sports Medicine DXB. Chris has extensive experience working with a number of footballers from the Premier League and Championship having previously worked with Leeds United & Bolton Wanderers FC.Jamie Woollard is a Dubai based Strength & Conditioning coach also working with Elite Training & Sports Medicine DXB. Jamie also has great experience working with footballers from the Premier League and other leagues across the globe .

We are joined by European Tour Player Gavin Moynihan who talks us through the trials and tribulations that go with being a tour player. Many amateur golfers think that European Tour players just play every tournament and are financially secure once they've made it, however we are talking to Gavin about being 1 of being 300 European Tour players that doesn't necessarily play every event and how it is difficult to maintain motivation. Gavin is also a Chelsea fan so we speak to him about his love for Chelsea and opinions on how Frank Lampard is doing so far in his 1st season.

As the world starts to work back to some sort of normality, the football season is back with Liverpool being confirmed as Premier League Champions and Leeds United have extended their lead at the top of the championship will please some of the podcasts recent guests. Also the PGA Tour has resumed but has been hit by some COVID-19 controversy so Andy Jamie and Chris sit down to review the resumption of the golf alongside football. This episode will bring an end to Series 1 with Season 2 expected to start on Sunday 19th July and there are some cracking guests lined up so stay tuned for MORE TO COME

Absolute delight to have Simon Grayson former manager of Leeds, Preston and Blackpool on the show. As a Leeds fan, he obviously thrilled with their promotion but he talks about the time he enjoyed promotion with them too, and also the superb promotion he had with Preston after a difficult final day defeat in the seaosn to miss out on automatic promotion. Simon also talks in detail about  his passion for cycling and golf and what the furutres hold for his managerial career. This is a great listen. If you've enjoyed it then please click the 5* review so it helps us broadcast it further.
