Hey, hello, hi, my Bumblebees! I’ve made a decision in regards to Ranting Teen Talks and I hope you understand that there's always going to be ups and downs which is what “Sunshine Mixed with a Little Hurricane,” (Brad Paisley) is all about. When I started this podcast, my main goal was to inspire you to be yourself, spread positivity, and do what you love, however, currently, I haven’t been able to do that myself. Thus, I came to this conclusion, because really, I wanted to provide you the quality and attention you deserve, and I’ve been struggling to do so for a while now. Nonetheless, I wish you all the best as you continue to learn and grow as wonderful humans. Remember to BEE yourself and that you are BEE-utiful, so keep on smiling. ~ Adriana :) --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Although an episode named "The Donkey," may cause a few of you to raise an eyebrow before listening, this segment is one that needs to be heard. Adriana shares the story of a donkey, a farmer, and a well, which united, describes the power of perseverance. It is no stranger to us that life can be unpredictable and crazy, but no matter how much dirt gets put onto your shoulders YOU have the choice to either get buried alive, or learn to blossom. Ranting Teen Talks encourages you to find the light, continue to grow, and start the change. Know, that as long as YOU believe you can persevere, YOU can achieve anything. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Ranting Teen Talks' "The Clock is Running," describes how life is short, and you can't sit around waiting for something to happen for you. Like success, if you want to make change BE the change by taking one step forward. Although, you can't alter the past, you can focus on learning from it.  Lift your head high, and know that once you embrace today, there's a world of possibilities for tomorrow. Remember this: "The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present," ~ Alice Morse Earle --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Your goals and successes are tailored to yourself, and how you achieve them is up to you too. However, no matter who you are, there is one thing that remains clear- in order to get to your destination you must keep moving forward. Even if you fall or retrace your steps, at the end of the day, moving forward is how you will get closer to accomplishing them. So how DO we move forward? Simple- by hard work and determination. You won't get anywhere if all you do is hope for the best, instead of actually trying to do something instead. You also must create a REACHABLE goal, by knowing the difference between "if it's meant to be, it'll be," and "if you want it, go get it." Finally, although goals may seem like challenges sometimes, if you put your mind and focus in one place, and remind yourself why you created that goal, there's no telling what you can, and can't do.  As always, remember to BEE yourself, and that you are BEE-utiful, - Adriana "Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen," ~ Wayne Huizenga --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
We all know that ignorance describes lacking knowledge or awareness, but that's just the definition of it. What actually makes something ignorant? Do "dumb" questions exist? Is our view of ignorance always the same? Everyone has different opinions, which also means our ideas of ignorance will differ as well. Based on the perspective you choose, your decision on whether or not someone is ignorant will also vary.  However, because the literal definition of ignorance means "lacking knowledge," no question should be considered stupid. By asking questions, you are doing the opposite which is learning and taking in new information. Yes, you may not know everything about a topic, but asking questions proves that you do not lack knowledge, because you are interested in the first place. Learning and making mistakes is how we create ourselves, and questions help us get there. So while there will always be disagreements on the concept of ignorance, we should all learn to agree that "dumb" questions are nonexistent. These ideas are expressed with one single quote within this episode: "Ignorance is not saying, I don't know. Ignorance is saying, I don't WANT to know," ~ Unknown Don't be afraid of your own curiosity, - Adriana --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Two quotes. The first? "You don't get harmony when everyone sings the same note," (Doug Floyd). -And the second, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself," (George Bernard Shaw). Both have very different meanings, however, in this episode, Adriana merges the two together in order to bring to you a concept worth discussing. She does this by evaluating the importance of choosing your own path, while also weighing in her interpretation of FINDING yourself and CREATING yourself.  Remember that how you use your voice determines the path you choose, so make sure it's heard! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
The way you live life depends on the perspective you chose to see it in. You could go by day by day, seeing the world as darkness filled with monsters disguised as people, but then how happy would YOU be? In contrast, you could be noticing those who shed warmth and passion, those who appreciate things like growing plants, those who laugh until they snort, and those who overflow with kindness towards everyone. . . doesn't it seem better when you admire the roses instead of the thorns? Think about the path you chose in the past, present, and future, and think about what YOU can do, no matter how big or small, to make a difference.  Most importantly, remember to BEE yourself, ~ Adriana "You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can be grateful because thorn bushes have roses," - Ziggy (Tom Wilson) --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Ranting Teen Talks' episode, "Trusting Your Wings," is all about believing in yourself and finding the courage to know that you can do anything. However, if you doubt yourself, all the beautiful, positive chances that CAN happen, WON'T, because you're too busy being blinded by doubt to see them. It's your choice whether you look towards the big open sky or not, but at one point or another, YOU must decide if you will trust the branch, or your own wings. Remember this: "A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch, but on it's own wings. Always believe in yourself," - Unknown --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Hey, hello, hi, my Bumblebees! I'm so excited to welcome you back to season 2 of Ranting Teen Talks! As we transition into the regular flow of things, I start with a new REAL Talks segment, centering around LITERAL Bumblebees, and of course, you! This includes finding your inner strength, and some interesting fun facts about those fluffy little bees. For instance, did you know, the last name 'Dumbledore,' found in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling is actually an old name for 'bumblebee?' If you want to hear more SWEET facts like that, take a listen to all the BUZZ within this episode! As always, remember to BEE yourself and that you are BEE-utiful, - Adriana P.S. CAUTION HEADPHONE USERS! I may or may not have gotten un-BEE-lievably enthusiastic while recording this episode. . . (SORRY!) Also, all sources for the bee facts can be found here: https://www.pinterest.com/Sunflower_Adriana/boards/ --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Nothing here on Ranting Teen Talks is- or ever will be perfect (CRAZY, RIGHT?) and I never expect it to be, since the first episode. This doesn’t only apply to podcasts too. Life has its ups, downs, and beautiful imperfections that make it memorable and worth living. In this segment, you’ll hear 4 different reflections from myself, Rachel, Anika, and Kayla about the meaning behind Ralph Marston’s quote “You Were Born to be Real, Not to be Perfect.”  You’re perfectly imperfect, so always remember to BEE yourself, my Bumblebees, -Adriana --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
You are as beautiful as YOU think you are. You are as ugly as YOU think you are. What do you do with this information? When you look in the mirror what do you see, flaws or uniqueness? When you hear yourself are you someone to be listened to, or someone to be ignored? When you're honest to yourself, are you moving forward, or holding yourself back? These are all questions we must learn to answer truthfully. No one but YOU can define your beauty, so how will you? We must remind ourselves that beauty isn't just in physical appearance. It's in our actions towards people and ourselves. It's in acceptance, trust, and recovery. It's seeing people as people and embracing their differences. It's in opening our eyes and not only imagining a better world, but committing to it. Beauty is in everything if you take the time to find it.  Beauty is in you, - Adriana "You are either as beautiful or as ugly as you believe you are. You define your beauty. That's not a power anyone can have over you," ~ Author N/A --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
The second addition to "Best Friends & Chocolate," here on Ranting Teen Talks, involves a light-hearted prank to a few of Adriana's best friends: Rachel, Kayla, and Anika. She uses this opportunity to analyze their unique responses and reflect on their different personalities.  It all started as just a Shrek movie reference, yet Adriana turns the prank into something meaningful and worth sharing; with a mix of sweet symbolism, naturally! "I guess the reason I loved doing this so much was because I got to see the individual 'ingredients' that made up this 'cake' that I can call my closest friends."  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
"Best Friends & Chocolate" is a two-part segment, centering around best friends and introducing a chocolate theory. Adriana describes "The Chocolate Theory" as saying there are many reasons to take a grand bite of delicious chocolate, just like there are different reasons you might choose to lean on one friend over another depending on the situation. Thus, this analysis supports the "cake vs. cupcake" concept she creates, which represents having multiple reliable friends vs. a single one. By making this episode, she encourages others to choose "cake" and surround themselves with people who they are happy with, trust, and feel that they belong, oppose to being surrounded by acquaintances.  Although taking that first, courageous, step to be able to put yourself out there and find people you connect with may be challenging, it will be worth it.  Remember this: "As you grow older, you realize it becomes less important to have more friends, and more important to have real ones," ~ Ziad K. Hey, hello, hi, my Bumblebees! I'd like to share an additional REAL Talks episode that meant a lot to me. Like last week, I discuss the significance of self-love and taking the time to realize how beautiful you are- without the need to compare yourself to anyone else.  By bringing this topic to light, it opened my eyes on how I viewed myself, and I hope it does the same for you.  You are so loved, -Adriana  "Admire other people's beauty and talent without questioning your own," ~ Brooke Hampton  P.S. The quote above is the full quote to the one I discussed, which I discovered AFTER recording this episode. Hello my Bumblebees! Here's a sneak peak on what actually goes on in the producing world of Ranting Teen Talks! A lot of hard work and dedication comes into play, along with putting ideas into actions. The purpose of this podcast is to spread my messages of kindness, love, and unity (along with the voices of others) with every episode that is released.  For this reason, I continue posting here, on Ranting Teen Talks, with the hope that one day, my words will welcome the ears of anyone who needs to hear them. Love, Adriana --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Hey, hello, hi! If you're wondering how butterflies and flaws could possibly have anything to do with each other, take a listen to find out! With another REAL Talks episode, I discuss seeing the beauty within yourself and accepting that flaws only have power if you allow them to. Together, these two concepts provide a cohesive lesson to conceive. By using this knowledge, you can truly learn to be proud of who you see in the mirror. Love you, always, my Bumblebees,   - Adriana "Your flaws are perfect for the heart that's meant to love you,"  ~ Trent Shelton --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Hi to the Hive! Ranting Teen Talks is all about sharing messages and ideas as a "community," so it makes sense that not everything is originally made by Adriana. These inspirations and thoughts have to come from somewhere, and sometimes, that somewhere is outside of her own mind. She'd like to give credit to those individuals who may have sparked an idea for Ranting Teen Talks, by putting it all in one place. If you'd like to check those references, take this link (https://www.pinterest.com/Sunflower_Adriana/boards/) to Pinterest.   --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Hey, hello, hi! "The Psychosocial Stage," by Ranting Teen Talks is another REAL Talk episode that Adriana brings to you. Here, she covers a growing point in life where you are allowed to question and wonder EVERYTHING about yourself. This discovery period is called "Identity vs. Role Confusion," which everyone goes through between the ages of 13-21. This process allows you to develop your mindset and who you want to be. It is necessary to share this information because more people need to know that questioning yourself and your decisions is normal, and it is a part of life. You should never be ashamed of the questions or thoughts you may have because it is all apart of learning. "Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams according to YOUR vision and purpose, instead of the expectations and opinions of others," ~ Roy Bennett --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Hey, hello, hi, my Bumblebees! "Anger," by Ranting Teen Talks, is a segment dedicated to finding and evaluating the differences between "wet" and "dry" anger. These differences are important to acknowledge because it allows us to improve our communication and expression skills within socialization. I also briefly discuss the significance behind the words you may say while angry, which you often regret. These observations are crucial to understand, because they allow us to accurately interpret people and ourselves when in an angry state.  I love you, my Bumblebees, - Adriana P.S. Of course, the notations I make within this episode are extremely generic, since everyone shows anger differently. Additionally, I merely GRAZE the elaborate topic of anger; focusing SPECIFICALLY on "wet" and "dry" anger. If you'd like to learn IN-DEPTH about anger, I encourage you to research according to your interests! :) --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
Hey, hello, hi! In this Ranting Teen Talks segment, I discuss the importance of skipping the "I'm only (insert age), so please don't judge but..." response, to JUST SAYING what you need to say. By including your age in a situation where it is not needed, you are promoting some consequences. For example:  1.  YOU'RE GIVING OFF PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! BE CAUTIOUS AND THINK WISELY ABOUT YOUR DECISIONS. 2. You're giving the impression that you are begging for attention, which people are going to react by not taking your response seriously. 3. It may seem as though you are warning others that you are incapable of receiving the direct truth and must have "sugar-coded" replies. 4. It is possible that you feel you lack some sort of quality, so you (figuratively) "hide" behind something like your age to justify yourself. This could mean being scared of someone's opinion, or simply denying the power of your speech because of your age. These are all pointers which I cover in episode 19, 'JUST SAY IT!' Stop using your age as a shield, and start saying what you need to say. -As long as you're being respectful, kind, and considerate of course!  I love you, my Bumblebees,                                                   -Adriana  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rantingteentalks/message
