Description

Welcome to Connected Conversations with Kirsten!
Understanding your love language - what you need to feel loved - can make a beautiful difference in your relationships.
My primary love language is quality time, which for me equates to deeper connections with people.
As we navigate this unknown world together, my heart is telling me to connect more - to connect with those who are precious to me as well as to those who will become precious to me - people like you.
In every episode we will dive into real conversations with real people, to learn more about each other as individuals and the ways we feel connected to the global community.
My hope is that, as my guests feel seen and acknowledged in our conversations, you will find yourself within them and will feel seen and acknowledged too.
And maybe one day you and I will connect here, with a conversation of our own, because you are valuable, perfectly imperfect, and worthy of self-love.
From my heart to yours...

A Meditation for Body Awareness In this episode I share my thoughts about meditation and my belief that there really are no “rules” around how to meditate. This includes the idea that you can’t meditate with distractions around you, which is why I recorded this episode outside on my patio with my dogs. Life is distracting, and that’s real. This meditation focuses on body awareness as we bring the breath from the feet up through the body to the top of the head. As humans we tend to spend a lot of time in our heads, focusing on a running monologue of what we perceive is happening in our lives. A healthy response to this is to connect with the body. Your body is wise and knows what you need. Let’s tune in as we meditate together. xo, Kirsten -------------------- Curious what a Self Love Life Coach does? Authentically Me

My friend Natalie Neckyfarow (actress, writer, coach, pilates instructor, and much more!) offered to interview me for an episode of my podcast. I hadn't thought of being interviewed! We have a fun, real, open conversation about who I am as a person, woman, mother, wife, and life coach.  In this episode I have the opportunity to speak from the heart about my gifts and challenges, what has shaped me into the person I am today, who inspires me, and what my coaching programs can offer for you.  Connection is one of my top values so I always do my best to operate from the questions, "Who can I connect with today?" and "How have I connected with others today?" I'm sure you will feel connected through my authenticity and the love that continually seeps out through my very skin. ST Rappaport

ST Rappaport

My guest in this episode, ST Rappaport, is Relationship Photographer, Creative Journal Expressive Arts Coach,s and host of the LifePix Relationships Podcast. After observing, listening, and connecting with so many couples, ST is on a mission to find out what makes relationships work and how they can become extraordinary, and she is here to help as many couples as possible.    In our conversation, we talk about using a photograph as a relationship vision board, a new (to me!) way of journaling, the act of being yourself, the question Who Am I?, and ST’s unusual journey with school. I get vulnerable as I share the results of my own personal journaling using the tool ST teaches. And yes, you will hear my dogs in the background. One of the reasons I love being home is that my work is naturally more organic than it may be otherwise. It’s all real, and that’s what life is about.   I know you’ll find nuggets of connection with ST in our conversation. She is fun to talk to and we simply enjoyed each other’s company.    ST's website is https://linktr.ee/lifepixrelationships    As always, you can connect with me. I would love to hear from you! kirsten.justlove@gmail.com  https://www.instagram.com/kirsten.justlove/  https://www.facebook.com/kirsten.justlove/

*Note: When listening to this episode on iTunes, you'll find that the audio cuts out beginning at 48:50, and resumes at 49:30. If you listen on Spotify, you'll hear the entire audio; I'm not sure what's happening with the iTunes version. In this "empty space", Ioanna speaks about a webinar she presented at the American College of Greece, on Feminine Leadership and the importance of connection, authenticity, vulnerability (Hello, Brene Brown!), and the benefits of doing what you love.* My guest on this episode, Ioanna Margaroni, is a good friend of mine and is also a Life Coach and Soul Realignment ® practitioner who is, in her words, “on a mission to empower people to remember who they truly are on a Soul level, fall deeply in love with themselves and manifest what they want in life.”   Ioanna specializes in working with women so they can learn to live in alignment with their Soul’s calling by tapping into their unique gifts and true nature of prosperity.   As we connect in this episode, we talk about life energy, knowing yourself, akashic records, crystal therapy, and the connection concept of, as Ioanna puts it, “tend and befriend.”   This conversation left me feeling centered, seen, held, fulfilled, complete, quiet…   Ioanna just has that way about her. So - enjoy.   Here is how to connect with Ioanna: ioanna.margaroni@yahoo.com https://ioannamargaroni.wordpress.com https://www.facebook.com/Ioanna-Margaroni-Living-in-Alignment-811897939172990/   As always, you can connect with me: kirstenroberts@justlovelifecoach.com http://justlovelifecoach.com https://www.facebook.com/kirsten.justlove https://www.instagram.com/kirsten.justlove/  If you feel called, please leave a review for Connected Conversations with Kirsten. Introducing Myself

Introducing Myself

2020-06-3040:32

Four episodes in and it feels like time to introduce myself!  In this episode I share a little about who I am, what I love, who I appreciate, and what inspires me. I touch on the effects of COVID-19 for myself and for humanity as a whole. I also try - and stumble - to talk about learning how to be an anti-racist when I had thought I already was one, and how I'm sure I'm totally screwing it up. Mostly I talk about love, my journey to loving myself, and the fact that you deserve to love yourself and live the most fulfilling life you possibly can. If you feel called to leave a review, I will be ever so grateful. Reviews help create better visibility for podcast shows and I want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to connect with and learn from my guests in each episode. Thank you. Feel free to visit my website. It's still under construction - and reconstruction - because my tech skills are still growing. But when you're there, know that you are loved. www.justlovelifecoach.com If you want to get in touch, I would love to connect with you. Email me at Kirsten.justlove@gmail.com
Eva Peterson

Eva Peterson

My friend Eva Peterson left her corporate architecture job in NYC three years ago to embark on a life of travel. As much as Eva loved traveling, she craved grounding and a sense of purpose. She didn't want to just see the world, she wanted to contribute to it in a massive way and build something meaningful! So, her life coaching business was born. She now helps other soulful, free spirited entrepreneurs build solid foundations so that they can experience exponential self growth and career success. Eva says she helps long term travelers align with their intuition, root out self doubt, embrace fear, and make massive progress towards their dreams. She believes that true freedom can only be attained by knowing exactly who we are and what our purpose is here on earth! In our conversation we talk about shifting from the corporate world to living a “location independent” lifestyle, what Coronavirus precautions look like in Peru, feminine flow, masculine vs feminine energy, and holding your identity with an open palm. We also talk about why, as white women, we’re not necessarily ready to talk about BLM on a public platform...but we couldn’t actually have our conversation without talking about this important issue. Some of Eva’s favorite books include Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson, and anything by Elizabeth Gilbert. This is the one of the books Eva is reading to educate herself on syste mic racism: Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor by Layla F. Saad Here’s how to reach Eva: Website: www.theevapeterson.com IG: @theevapeterson Biz Email: theevapeterson@gmail.com We are both students in Jeannine Yoder’s signature coaching program Mentor Masterclass  www.Jeannineyoder.com And you can reach me via my website www.Justlovelifecoach.com or by email kirstenroberts@justlovelifecoach.com Thanks for listening, and I look forward to connecting with you!
Katie Maloney

Katie Maloney

2020-06-1501:04:25

My guest on this episode is Katie Maloney author of the book Cake Pops and Coffee: A New Conversation About Trauma; How to Laugh, Cry, and Love Your Whole Story.   I have to admit that I’ve looked through podcast episodes before for something to listen to, and when I’ve seen an episode that is going to cover any aspect of abuse, particularly sexual abuse, I’ve thought No way am I going to go there - I don’t need anything heavy or depressing or yucky, and I choose something else. So while you are of course always welcome to choose to listen or not listen, I invite you to try the first 15 minutes of this episode before making your choice, because the way Katie talks about trauma is different. Katie concentrates on the fact that you can move forward from trauma and learn to live a beautiful life. She shares what she has learned about identity awareness, setting standards for yourself, and learning how to receive. Katie is an author, speaker, and trauma survivor coach, and her goal is to remove some of the heaviness around conversations about trauma and to start new conversations that feel the way I felt when reading her book - like I was in conversation with a cherished friend. I did not experience abuse myself but wow have I learned and grown from the tools Katie shares in her book. Katie is changing the way we talk about sexual assault, dispelling the stigmas, and bringing to light the powerful joys of healing your story. This conversation may be triggering for some of you, which I completely understand -  I send you love around your own trauma experience. If you need help, I deeply encourage you to find someone to talk to whether it be a friend, a therapist, or a coach. Connected Conversations A podcast by Kirsten Roberts My guest in this episode, Anna Nyeste, believes that the only thing that limits us from living the life of our dreams is a lack of imagination and the failure to believe we have always been, and will always be, enough, exactly as we are. Anna considers herself a lifelong student and studies yoga, mindbody medicine, spirituality, business, psychology, philosophy, healing, mental health, relationships, energy work, and much more. She has healed her Self - with a capital S - from chronic pain, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and many other labels that were given to her, in her words, without her permission. Anna is a self-care coach who teaches people how to take care of their whole Selves - again with a capital S. Every time she speaks I learn something new and am inspired to step up my game and live my best life. We’ve only known each other for a few months but we know we’re soul sisters - and I know you’re gonna love her too.
