Were back and we got a bit of a different show for you. We are moving in a positive direction with this podcast. During this hard time mental health is key.  So we are going to start having weekly vibe checks. Our first episode we have my dad. No one I know better knows how to put a more knowledgeable yet positive spin on any tough situation. So I thought Id speak to the man himself and try to find the right mental compass bearing in these very confusing times.
I have no idea what I'm doing. So I decided to start a podcast anyway because as long as I sit around trying to figure out a format I'm going to sit around trying to figure out a format. But I do know that I want to introduce my really interesting friends to my audience. So I decided to start with a segment called "The most interesting people I know."  Todays guests are Matt Booher and AJ Aguayo from the reggae Band Pacific Roots. Incredible music comes from amazing people. After watching this band play I was hooked and after swapping stories I was a big fan.

His organization "Our Heroes Dreams" has a retreat for wounded vets in the forest. They asked a local booker for a comic willing to drive out there. I jumped at the chance and ended up having the time of my life. a wounded vet himself Justin and me sit down to discuss his military experience and the current state of Veteran affairs. I can easily say when I stepped away from this podcast I found myself eternally grateful for the the many blessings in my life.

DNA...Yep thats his name...Is A great comedian and a great club owner. He also created one of the most prolific comedy scenes in California outside of LA. And he does it with an open heart and mind. He can easily be called a "gate keeper" but he is not and welcomes any refugee from any comedy scene.

Chris Riggins Is by far the funniest comic in the bay area and that's saying a lot because the bay puts out the funniest people in the world. We started out this episode with  Q and A that I curated from one of my FB posts. However when two close friends get together the conversation just goes. These guests won't always be comediansSo the first person that I thought of was my really good friend Paco Romane. Paco isn't just a really good stand-up he's also an actor/ writer/ Voice Actor/Podcaster and is one of the hardest working people I know.
New Episode. New podcast, New Host!DNA has been my friend for almost as long as I been in comedy. Our conversations on the road are always fun and fascinating to me. I figured why not have him on the pod permanently. I decided to rename the podcast as well. What do you call a mental health podcast with 2 comics discussing a subject they have no expertise in. In fairness DNA partially studied phycology in college but you know...weed.
Mental Health check with these very funny comedians.

Sammy Obeid is by far one of the most interesting comics that I've known. I met Sammy 2 years into my comedy career. He looked like a child. But quickly right off the bat he proved to be one of the most effective and hard working comics I have ever seen. After doing 1001 comedy nights in a row he went on to be on Conon O'Brien and toured just about every state in the union. He now has a show on Netflix Called 100 humans.
