Norco 80
Description
In May of 1980, the sleepy streets of Norco, California were turned into an all-out war zone in what is one of the most violent bank robberies in American history. From LAist Studios in collaboration with Futuro Studios comes the new podcastβNorco β80 based on the book by Peter Houlahan. Listen as host and producer Antonia Cereijido tells the unbelievable true story about God, guns, survivalism and the bank robbery that changed policing in America forever. Using eyewitness testimony and never before heard police tapes, Norco β80 takes listeners on a wild ride, and serves as a cautionary tale in the context of America being immersed in the middle of an economic crisis, revamped end of the world paranoia and a complex conversation about policing.
suder-di-duper!
Holy shit the nerve of this reporter to question the police officer's right to defend himself. Good for him standing his ground and putting her dumb ass in her place. What the fck else is he supposed to do, start a therapy session?
really enjoyed the podcast and not surprised by the police reaction to better arm themselves for future confrontations0
she gives a bunch of stats about who is in prison then she doesn't give them about who is committing the crimes . Always with the racism crap at the end like the cops in a shootout are going to shoot the Mexicans and not the white guys because cops are racist
It's a good podcast, but she is completely missing, or unable to understand, his point.
7.62 vs .223
This reporter is a idiot. she has the nerve to tell the cop that it isn't his place to make a call as to the robbers die or not. And this being after they have shot and killed at least one. This guy is being shot at and defending himself as a officer. yeah he doesn't care if they shoot and kill the robbers. cause the robbers don't !! was you there being shot at ? get the hell out of here with your liberal bullshit!
still on first episode but very impressed so far. good mix of interviews, and story telling. thumbs up from me π
